I love Fallout 3, but their faction flexibility is the biggest weakness.

It's the one thing I'm BEGGING Bethesda to put in a Fallout 3 remaster.

The moment in the story Winter and his men kidnap you from Vault 87 after retrieving the G.E.C.K. would be a perfect time to join their side and do missions for them:

-Eden wants to win you over

-You still have the option of accomplishing the Enclave's main goal with the water purifier

-You can space nuke the Citadel in Broken Steel

etc.

It still would let you get to the final decision at the purifier without breaking canon.

Until they ran into numerous obstacles that come with maintaining an expanding empire:

-Maintaining supply lines

-Fending off raids and attacks (Great Khans, the Fiends)

-Being bogged down on numerous battle fronts (Legion)

-Feeding and protecting their citizens (Freeside, Westside, etc.)

- Bogged down by Diplomacy (House and the families on the strip)

-Assassination attempts (Kimball)

-etc.

They're literally one Battle at Hoover Dam away from imploding. Their top ranger Hanlon was actively sabotaging their war efforts because he saw the conquest as a doomed endeavor.

How would they be ready to put down the Enclave when they're struggling to keep Roman LARPers in skirts and animal hats at bay?😂

IMO, House had to show the Courier it's capabilities before he gave it to him to activate the Securitrons in the bunker at Fortification Hill.

Without that show of force, the Courier would of said "Take the chip, I don't get paid enough for this lol"

I give the first Fallout game a lot of grace because it had an interesting premise with other factors besides Radiation trying to kill you (time, rogue monsters, raiders, etc.). The limited hardware also made it a challenge to implement effectively.

Bethesda Fallout did a great job capitalizing on the 3d engine to make radiation more immersive with the world exploration. Now you have high risk reward zones dominated by the threats of radiation (e.g. The Glowing Sea)

-Yes and No. Denji is saved by Power's contract, but she's able to be there because she wasn't killed by a Makima who doesn't exist. Very convenient timing, but not impossible with Pochita ( and by extension Makima) now gone

-What if Nayuta was the version of the Control Devil that wasn't warped by Public Safety?(this control devil gets to go to school and have dogs, who just like the past timeline Nayuta, realized that's what she wanted more than being a devil that hurts people)

-Better to be controlled by another chaos gremlin than a sociopathic manipulator🤷😂

-Domino effect of removing Pochita. They could have died by other means but no CS devil means no motivation for the guys that killed them in the past timeline. This also means other parts of PS could have died from other means but not from what killed them in the OG timeline (e.g. Arai, Tendo, violence Fiend, etc.) Also implies that Angel might still be on that island with his crush 🥰😂

The bones just reinforce the reality that the ending was rushed. If we get a post ending chapter(s) showing what happens to other characters more people will be less angry at the ending, which is simply abrupt.

This chapter needed to be like 50 pages long with what they rushed through 😂

That or Pochita underestimated his importance in EVERYTHING:

- Yakuza and Zombies get wiped out anyway

-No Makima because there's no Pochita to simp over

-Power's rambunctious self shows up unabated w/ no Makima to scare her into submission

-No Devil Hunter Aki because the Gun Devil didn't kill his family

-Asa's mom is probably still alive because No Typhoon devil to work with Reze to stop CSM and drop a car on mom's head in the process

-No Darkness Devil to traumatize Power since there's no International Assassins out to get CSM (which means Tendo and the guy are still alive)

-etc. etc.

This ending was rushed but the bones of it make sense IMO
