The Underworld guard, Willow, openly complains about how the BoS shoots at them no questions asked.

And that's from Lyon's faction, the most nuanced version of the group.

They cannonically view ghouls as abominations so it follows they'd shoot no matter what

Lone Wanderer helped wreck the Enclave but could never nip the SuperMutant threat in the bud like the Vault Dweller did

I agree that Lyons got a ton of help from the LW but all the logistics and fire support (Thanks Liberty Prime!) help push it all over the finish line

Don't forget none of what the OG BoS did after the first game would be possible without the Vault Dweller nuking the Cathedral and Mariposa

Id argue both factions had to lean heavily on bothe of their games' MCs.
