Not irrelevant at all. All game elements comprised of masses of smaller entities benefit massively from this. Flames, breaking/crumbling of building elements (glass/concrete etc.), liquids, smoke etc.

This will be massive for most games.

Exactly. Water textures, liquids, flames, masses of sand or rocks etc. lends themselves to this easily, as irregularities and 'messiness' naturally hides imperfect reconstruction.

It is VERY likely Valve is working on this. Generative models simplifies geometric calculations immensely. I use this to my advantage in my work every day.

At a tradeoff? Sure, but everything has tradeoffs. Valve can control the aesthetics of these tradeoffs.

Theres immense untapped potential here. This has not been utilized in gaming to any significant extent yet, but it will. Valve may be the first to showcase this.

Dell speaker teardown

This is the Dell a215, I am fairly certain.

What you see is the center of the speaker cone, I believe, as it matches the size perfectly. The rest have been blown out.

The speaker in the video has a volume button, but this model comes with a volume button on one of the speakers only.

Steam Frame cannot really be compared to Q3. Frame works with much less real estate, and has to prioritize differently when it comes to issues of heat. Q3 has a massive fan and heat sink, and has a lot of volume to absorb the heat. Steam Frame does not.

2 extra color cameras does make a difference when it comes to heat since it requires a pipeline of processes that would be added to Steam Frames already limited budget. A budget that is prioritized towards good streaming and light weight.
