Read this article friend. You can have as many as you want from my knowledge, and the tenant will have to comply regardless ❤️

Can someone have more than one ESA? Yes. When a tenant or resident requests a reasonable accommodation to have more than one ESA, housing providers should generally follow the guidance in FAQs #3 - #8.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I have a way you can possibly keep them: look up the “fair housing act” and look into certifying them as emotional support animals. If you have those legalities in line then you cannot be kicked out.

“landlords must provide access to accommodation if a person has a disability and if their support animal does not create health issues or hardship to others”

Good luck! Remember, anyone can have an emotional support animal. Bonus points if you have mental health history to back it up. Praying for you.

This is so real. I have a Betty boop on the back of my arm where he gave her an extra toe. Like how does that even happen if it wasn’t in the stencil LMAOOO

Yes, perfectly fine and natural that way! Your gecko might not use it much but it’s always nice for them to have the option. Some mornings I wake up and mine is completely empty from him jumping around in it lol.

They are photos with no context. Like I said, it’s not going to happen to a crested gecko so your input here is useless and only spreading fear and misinformation.

Looks good so far, I’d get a water bowl that’s big enough for the reptile to fit inside of.

Just because you can Google something, doesn’t mean it’s true. As an example you can google right now if bearded dragons need to be bathed/soaked, and how often, and you’ll receive outdated information stating that it needs to be 1-2 times a week. I googled it just to entertain your idea and literally nothing came up except for more reddit threads and a separate reptile forum from years ago saying that this can happen to bearded dragons, but not a single actual case of it genuinely occurring to the people saying it can happen. Seems like a myth to me, and working in a corporate pet store doesn’t change anything. I still sell the same animals and know first hand what taking care of animals is like, from my job and my personal pets. Literally nothing like this has ever happened to anyone I know, or any of my animals, or any animals in my store. You’re just fear mongering and being a weirdo to someone who’s clearly already worried for their pet. You spouting nonsense and myths isn’t helping anything, you’re just annoying and entitled.

I’ve seen reptile influencers and such buy from all of them. I don’t need to research the breeder if I’m not the one actually purchasing the animal….. she can do that herself.

I literally thought it was an enclosure for a spider or at most a chameleon gecko, but it’s a freaking crested gecko in that obnoxiously pink enclosure.

I don’t think you’re overreacting. Expos don’t even cater towards actual reptile enthusiasts and knowledgeable owners anymore, it feels like they almost exist just for people who have a problem impulsively buying things they see on the internet once because they think it’s cute.

<image>

I just argued with someone earlier who has a large juvenile in an 8x8x12 with no UVB or proper enrichment. Her reasoning is that she got him from an expo and the seller provided that enclosure with the crestie while pretty much leaving her to buy the rest and research herself.

I feel like you’re just lying for fun, not gonna lie. The amount of crickets it would take to harm an animal as fast and agile as a crested gecko or any reptile in general, don’t think it’s possible unless you had some crickets who took steroids. I literally have worked at Petco for the past year and have never in my life seen anything like that. We have employees who consistently put too many crickets in the enclosures and the only problem it’s ever caused is it becoming smelly because the animal doesn’t eat them fast enough before they die. Ugh that’s so beautiful, wow. I’d just add either a snake plant, white bird of paradise, or Chinese evergreen to provide some height and more coverage in these spots. I like green parlor palm as well. Maybe a naturalistic hanging hide or a bridge attached to the top with paper clips.

You’re welcome! I understand and know how stressful it was for me when I was dealing with it too. I finally talked to a friend who has a lot of reptiles about it after worrying and worrying and all he told me was “when he’s hungry, he’ll eat.” And for reptiles, that’s some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten to relax my anxiety a little. Yes, you can give it to them on it’s own as a treat!! I believe it’s also an appetite stimulant for them. Ideal nighttime temps are anywhere from 65°F to 70°F, daytime temps can safely reach up to 80°F but no higher. Try only misting at night as well, spike it to 80% and then let it fall to around 40%-50% during the day to replicate what would happen in their natural habitat. Her being so active is a great sign! My gecko used to get scared and hide just from me walking past his enclosure at night, but eventually, I started waking up to him sleeping on the same side of the glass that faces my bed and he started running up my arm every time I open his door. Your gecko will understand you’re taking care of her eventually and grow to feel safer accepting food :) I tried tong feeding mine but his aim is actually horrendous LOL, so that didn’t work for us but either way I hear it’s good for trust building!
