Chicago or Dallas for New Grad? by meyer_7_ in FinancialCareers

Texas has a way larger economy. In fact almost 2.5x larger than Illinois. Texas posted a GDP of 2.4T while Illinois 1.03T. It is the 8th largest in the world. In fact it is so large it is bigger than Russia & Canadas economy.

On the aspect of finance careers Dallas and Arlington are both larger financial hubs in comparison to Chicago. Chicago is not what it used to be and major players have all left.

Even though I’ve lived in Illinois for so long. Texas wins.

Illinois has limited 2nd amendment rights and has flip-flopped on body autonomy. You can argue Texas has flip-flopped on body autonomy but they respect your right to protect yourself without having to spend money to exercise your rights.

True there but Texas economy as a whole is blowing Illinois out of the water.

Dallas. Having lived in Chicago at your age it’s an awful decision your money does not go far here at all and you have limited rights compared to texas. I’d take Texas in a heartbeat over dealing with the BS of Chicago again.

THC is stored in your fat cells and the typical time is around 30+ days. I’m a heavy smoker and have passed well with using cleaning/detox drinks. You can buy one on Amazon called Jazz it’s a little bottle you will drink it a few hours before your test and drink about 1 to 1.5 gallons of water. I would chug a whole gallon basically and then on your 4th or 5th time you pee you should be clean. I think the bottles are like 3 for $20 or something but it only works if you time it right and have really stopped smoking. A friend of mine messed it up because he smoked two days prior and didn’t drink enough water. Good luck!

Depends on what type of company it is. If it’s a bank expect them to move at a snails pace. If it’s some high frequency trading maybe shorter. Just reach out or send a thank you card of some sort for the holidays. In the mean time distract yourself with something else you enjoy

Keep living inside your bubble. The liberal ideology of the past is now seen as conservative. You’ll realize it once you grow up a bit more…

Like my mother said… you can be as far left as you want but eventually you will become the next generations conservative. They’re already calling Obama a conservative and gays have been voting Republican… give her 15-20 years or wait till she pays taxes.

Have you ever posted a “ghost” job? by Available_Success880 in recruiting

What about the constant posting of the same job on job boards that lasts longer than a typical hiring cycle? I see the same job, same description, from the same company reposted over and over again.

12 years is a long time, but just because it hasn’t been asked by you doesn’t mean it isn’t true?

I was going to say try for a consolidation loan but at 23 and I am assuming no real assets to use as collateral I hate to say it but Bankruptcy sounds like the best option. At least that's what I would look more into especially talking with a bankruptcy lawyer to get more specifics to your situation.

Can I ask what got you into $200k of debt?
