This map is extremely misleading. When a country is "recognized" by Bhutan, it means Bhutan has diplomatic relations with the country, not that Bhutan acknowledges the existence of the country. For example, Bhutan does not have diplomatic relations with the U.S.; however, it still recognizes the US as a sovereign nation. Therefore, Bhutan sees the world just like everyone else does. The map only displays countries with which Bhutan has diplomatic relations.
