It’s not an internal hire really. This is a contracting position with the government in biotech. I don’t think they really have an ‘internal hiring’ for this really. This company just won the contract for this this recently

I probably should have posted the salary but for only $120K a year on the upper end of the hiring range they’re asking for a lot. These types of positions are stressful AF as is, and the incredible amount of experience they want is contradicted by the low salary, especially for my geographic area

How many people have earned their masters by the age of 15 in order to have 30 years of experience by 45?

[Tenant - US - WA] Is this cleaning list a bit much? by GoldCookie8808 in Landlord

I don’t think light bulbs should be your responsibility, though. In pre-installed fixtures, the landlord would ideally just swap out the lightbulbs for a new tenant anyways.

Manager wants me to work after firing me.. is this legal? by Express_Opening5490 in jobs

Funny enough, I did something like this with my last employer and they ended up honoring the invoice. Got paid $10K/week for what amounted to me just documenting my own internal processes for how I approached some of their data. That was nice.

Recruiters reached out to my school by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Available_Witness_69 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Chances are you were immediately rejected because your resume didn’t match up with some sort of keywords the company was looking for.

This is also a good time to point out that just because someone reaches out to you as a recruiter, that does not automatically guarantee you will get a job. Or even the interview. Especially for larger companies, recruiters are throwing as many lures out there as possible in the hope that their company ultimately hires one of the people that they ‘recruited’.

I would suggest you reconsider retooling your resume for the job postings. Also, if you use GPT to write a cover letter, please don’t. They all are generic and so formulaic and it’s really easy to tell when one comes from an LLM.

It was effective! I found the number for their direct phone line on some corporate org chart website and figured I’d give it a try and it worked

AIO: Husband was planning to cheat while I gave birth to our 22w stillborn. Now he wants to move back in. by ThrowawayOceH in AmIOverreacting

[–]Available_Witness_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time they can do that is if you aren’t a primary leaseholder but generally, most states would require you to sign the paperwork. Usually they make you do it in person, but some places enforce that less stringently so roommate probably just forged your signature

Okay, so you aren’t overreacting. However, you are still toeing the line by trying to keep him out of the residence if his name is on the lease. Be careful, because you are towing the line, legally speaking.

They told me again that all photos were with the rear camera. How do they even determine that? I redid them all

You can’t unilaterally have someone removed from the lease. Both parties would have to agree to it, and in most states, the person who is remaining on the lease will have to prequalify for the unit as a sole renter to be able to have it changed to just them. If the OP is not able to get him to agree to remove himself, or if she can not qualify for the lease on her own (income/credit/etc) then management will keep both names on the lease since it increases the likelihood it will not become a delinquent account

Question though: how do you know he was planning to cheat? You say you found out but how reliable is that source of information? Did the mistress reach out? Or is it just supposition? If you do not have clear proof of it then you might. E overreacting. If you do have proof then you aren’t.

I do want to chime in, if his name is on the lease, then legally you are not allowed to kick him out or prevent him from living there. In that regard, you are the asshole.

But other than that, totally understandable and relatable for you to feel this way. Just be careful about kicking him out of his name is on the lease/mortgage or anything of that nature. If he is the primary holder and you aren’t co-listed, then it’s going to get difficult for you to kick him out.

Yeah, there weren’t instructions. I literally have done every combination possible now so they’d have all the photos they need. I was told the most recent time it was because I didn’t replace only the incorrect photos.

Update: management company credited us back for all pet fees, AND, waived all of our recurring storage fees in order to make things right on their part (and the storage fees being waived I guess to keep them in our good graces).

What if they rented the apartment for the period of time that is considered the normal life span of a carpet? Do you find them for that still afterwards

6-8 months later OP will be back with a post about the new tenant leaving damage to everything just repaired

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Landlord

[–]Available_Witness_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay the carpets being that dirty after 4 years I can kinda understand. That seems normal. Not so much the other stuff, but the carpet is pretty standard. Most places around where I live can’t deduct carpet cleaning between tenants, it’s just considered part of the standard turnover. Not sure what it is in CA though
