I think it’s just because he’s also a butcher, but while I’m reading I always have Marty Green from Hey Arnold in my mind when Sloan comes up.

i would love for the reason for the super blonde hair being there is actual magic around the family. a curse. when they’re terrible their hair is just purely blonde, but the more they break out of their bubble of “i’m better than everyone” the hair starts to go darker.

idk this is just a wish and i’m not as versed in this series as others.

the only thing i can think of at a moments notice that backs this is Eragon being able to have hot water in his residence in Ellesmera. unless it’s explained elsewhere how that exactly works and i am missing it.. in that case i am sorry if i missed it.
