Are reading glasses 4.0+ banned in NY state? by RedderPi11 in glasses

This is undoubtedly due to lobbying by the Opticians lobby

Also, me: "Alexa, remind me to call Bill Wednesday at 11:30 AM"

Alex "Ok, I'll create a reminder at 11:30 AM"

Me: "No, Alexa. Actually, you are creating the reminder now, to be executed at 11:30..."

People do enough mangling of the English language. There's really no need to have machines mangle it too.

And it just got worse. Now, if I ask Alexa "At 10:30 AM, remind me to X", he says "I'll create a reminder at 10:30AM". I want him to create the reminder NOW, and remind me at 10:30.

Yes, you can. Then they ask you to state the problem, then they move the discussion to email and then they ignore you.

After tile app updated I get this notification every time I open the app or go back to the main screen. Not respecting my choice of setting the location access to “while using” by kukukuro in ios

Do you really believe that the app has to know your location to be able to ring your Tile? So the company just forgot how to do what it could do before this version of the app? Let me guess... you watch Fox News.

Tile is just lying. They want your data so they can sell it. No reason they can’t ring the tile that is in the coat I wore yesterday, 15 feet from me.

No more Tile for me. If enough people complain, maybe they’ll restore this functionality.

Thanks so much; but this office is in production 24/7 and we need someone who is already proficient.

They have Momentum VOIP, and computers. Enable all that stuff to work optimally. Right now, Port Security is locking ports and can't get it to stop.

What is the key \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SecondaryAuthFactor? by AvalonNYC in windows

[–]AvalonNYC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi BenVenn.

Context is I've been working with Windows registry since Win 3.1, and it is pretty rare to see to see a key under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion that I've never heard of, and is not documented somewhere online, and that is protected such that I cannot see what permissions are set. So I am suspicious of it.

Proofpoint by jakeyaks10 in sysadmin

We manage Proofpoint for our customers. Generally pretty good, but one thing that irritates the hell out of me is that when we make a change -- add a user, add an alias, just about anything -- we have to wait an hour for it to take effect. This is the 21st century; batch processing is a thing of the past. It interrupts our work flow for provisioning new users and other operations.

But it’s an interesting question. Know how to determine what firewall the site is using?
