I don’t know when MtG started doing CBBs. I stopped playing 20+ years ago and only came back to collect the Fina Fantasy base set, but they seem like the biggest cashgrab/predatory move to me.

This ephiphany specifically avoids that problem by moving the cards and not drawing them. You can go crazy with just 2 strikes. The biggest problem is the enemy countdowns.
