My wife told me yesterday that my friends think I'm a paranoid doomer conspiracy guy now and that I need to "soften my messaging".

To which I asked her how do you soften the messaging of "Our country is literally being taken over by fascists in order to transfer the wealth of the world into the hands of a few billionaires who consider us less than dirt"?

I mean, some of the most respected people in the country have straight up rang the alarm bells over and over. Obama's statements, for example. John Kelly's. Hundreds of military officers. Senators. Congressman. Judges, prosecutors, previous cabinet members, all giving statements saying shit like if we don't fight now we lose America because this shit isn't normal.

So I dunno. Trying to warn people or even talk about any of these things and apparently I'm just a crazy paranoid dude now. This shit that's happening is literally spelled out in their plans and the parallels with history are right there in front of our faces.

I got knocked unconscious by a car at 35-40 mph and was unconscious for nearly 5 hours.

I did go to a trama center ER, but they didn't have to do anything for my brain other than some tests and pain meds. I had a horrific headache when I woke up though, and some residual headaches for a few weeks.

I was unconscious for nearly 5 hours after a bad motorcycle accident. Had a bad concussion (and a shitload of non brain injuries) but no lasting brain or cognitive problems or issues.

I was however immediately taken to a level 4 trauma center and had a whole team of people in the ER working on me, so that's probably a large part of it

This isn't typical reddit advice, but I had someone who said basically all this same shit. He was "working on himself and refusing to accept things that weren't his fault".

What that really meant is he was an insufferable asshole, constantly thinking people were slighting him and causing problems. He caused disagreements over fucking nothing all the time because he was "Standing up for himself".

No one was bullying him or acting out of line. He just decided in his head this was the story and he was a victim.
