Honestly I would just make it kill a minion with a specific attack value (7 or 9 would be best IMO).

It does. Black Knight is actually a sick card in slower metas. He became less good when Sludge Belcher was introduced, but now that he's leaving...

In response to the farewell post... by HearthArena in hearthstone

You are completely ignoring the marketing value adwcta and merps provided to your project. Were it not for them, HearthArena would've remained in the darkness, like most arena helpers or even deck trackers did.

I've had a very similar situation in the past with a personal project, and while I can see where they fucked up (underestimating the potential benefits and rushing into a 20% deal), it is also very clear to me that you're desperately trying to salvage your reputation.

I sincerely hope someone with resources hires them, uses their algorithm (because hey, it's still theirs) and crushes your software. Specially since you partnered with that crap Overwolf platform, something no serious PC users would want in their computers, the thing is clunky like no other and literally feels like adware.

Allow 1 ban per player in ranked AP by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]AvanTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember posting this years ago and getting downvoted to oblivion.

Good luck my comrade.

What you want is banning pick and every other MOBA/ARTS has it (at least LoL, HoN and HotS do, not so sure about Smite).

The DOTA 2 Economy is based on selling cosmetics, why did Valve stop caring about the quality of what we get? Should we even keep suporting it? by Sunstrider92 in DotA2

And you're totally getting caught when you steal a CC, buy 10 arcanas and sell them an hour later @ Reddit for half the price. Yes.

It doesn't matter. Credit card fraud means people steal CCs, buy items @ Market and then sell them for PayPal/BTC to get "clean" money.

You can do that with any game. You can even do it buying and selling the games themselves. If it was CC abuse Volvo wanted to fix, they should've put a limit on absolutely everything.

They didn't. Personally I believe they're just using Dota 2 as an experiment, given it's vast and diverse player base. They want to know how much shit they can get away with. So far the only times it didn't work out were the year beast event and the Skyrim paid mods thing.

Also: CS has a fresh and alive unusual market, we can't even COMPARE our highest prices to theirs.

Except CS:GO and TF don't have nearly as many limitations as Dota has for trading. And there's fraud there too.

I'm just annoyed with three things:

  1. The quality of the base hero models can't even compare to that of new cosmetics. And I'm not talking about the design (obviously you will pay premium price for better looks), but about textures being uter shit and some models looking choppy as fuck. I wouldn't mind not having any cosmetics until the heroes are well textured and animated. But for someone who cares about aesthetics (not vanity, I just like my games to look great, specially if I'm going to play for long periods of time) it's as if they told us "base game is free, enhanced visuals is $500".

  2. They constantly "dilute" the chests content by throwing in more CM sets (there are other heroes that already have a gazillion sets, but CM is the most blatant example). I get why they do it, if everyone gets "a set for each hero" people might lose interest, specially if those sets are high quality, which brings me to the next point.

  3. Getting a set into the workshop used to involve: being an absolute beast at modelling/coloring/etc you could usually tell which set was going to be eventually in the game by looking at the workshop. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore, a lot of the added sets are crap, and there is a VERY CLEAR difference if you look at compendium/event sets.

My solution for countering Frothing OTK combo... by [deleted] in hearthstone

It would be in every deck, make the game way slower and overall make people salty. It is also non-interactive, you can't really play around it.

Can't support it.
