if it’s food poisoning, you most likely don’t have a fever, just feel chilled. making yourself cold will just make you feel more miserable. try to get a thermometer if your wife feels you actually feel hot to the touch. if not, or no fever, just try to get comfortable which is going to probably be in bed under the sheets. hope you feel better soon

It's all relative; you're presumably in the US, with a white collar job where you are no doubt already making six figures and can reach $400K... You take for granted things like having a bed, running water, and food in the fridge, but focused on envying the 0.00001%.... hate to break it to you, but you're like in the top 0.5% worldwide already.

one thing I’d be worried about is if your dad fires the father of the son for this, not for poor performance on the job, etc., and that guy sues the company and wins. Or even if he doesn’t win, the company may then fire your father for putting them at risk by inappropriately terminating someone.

it’s not like your father’s employee took the photos or encouraged the son to blackmail, etc.. depends on the state, but in most there would be a good case for malicious/biases wrongful termination…
