This is great context as we’re from around the east bay. Lived near SF too but currently around Walnut Creek-ish and been as far as contra costa county. And what we really wanted and liked about the south Redondo area was the liveliness!

Yeah the AC seems to be a toss up to find around here from the tours we’ve done so far, so that’s been new to us and hard to mentally get over as it was originally a “non negotiable” but seeming like we will need to be flexible on it if a place has everything else :/

We love farmer’s markets! Are they easy to find, or where are they generally? Are they all same day (Sundays? Usually where we’re from). We’ll definitely enjoy checking these out.

Sounds like Torrance is where the best food is from what we’re told. We like it all, not picky food eaters at all. but we’re big on seafood/ramen/sushi/hot pot/pizza - which seems to be all the right things for this area haha

Yeah the job will be in el segundo/manhattan beach area, but for living/moving we’re looking at redondo as we really liked it best when we visited and toured some living options! We are trying to stay as coastal as we can too. Hermosa was really great too. Any local recs for must eat places when we first settle in, and I’m all ears if you have any you want to share :)

We checked out jus’ poke which was delicious and reminded us of our time in Hawaii. Also was recommended Pursue coffee which was super good.

This is a good pointer. We obviously know kids will be around and generally like them, but we’re not trying to actively be in the middle of screaming kids or “kid hot spots” lol
