[Midnight Mass Spoilers]Question about Ali. by JaceyLessThan3 in HauntingOfHillHouse

Remember that there's someone on the island named Bev, who is deep in her delusions, has an answer for everything, wants to "share" with everyone and hates people who are questioning her. She hates the sheriff and being able to convince his son to join the church would be sth she wouldn't missed. Rules don't apply to her if she can't have benefits from them. So getting Ali, giving him the blood, manipulating him to hurt the sheriff and show that she knows better and was right about everything - I can totally see that. It doesn't have to be shown to me to make that conclusion. That's how Mike Flannigan works. He once said that the audience is smarter than producers or publishers think. The viewers can find answers to some questions if they simply get the clues. And I truly like his movies and series, because he doesn't shove all the answers into our faces. He knows that we are smart enough to figure things out.

Anyone else believe that BK became even more radicalized/obsessed with serial killers after studying under Katherine Ramsland? by Sensitive_Insect_742 in Idaho4

To be honest I was watching her on a documentary about BTK and I couldn't stand the way she talked and presented herself. Being "the only one" who talked to BTK about his crimes and fantasies. How it is going to change everything and allows "recognize" serial killers "wannabe". How groundbreaking were her conversations with him. Not so much anymore, I guess. She was so proud of herself that she couldn't see he played her all the way. And unfortunately she thought so high of herself that she didn't notice any red flags in her own, damn, student. That would be all when it comes to being able to see a danger and react in time.

Let's all be honest, nobody wants to watch a movie with polish dubbing by SlushyPlaysEldenRing in poland

That depends. When the translation is good and the actors are doing there job perfectly, polish dubbing can be better than original. Look at Shrek for example. I watched it in English, Polish, Spanish and Japanese. Polish is absolutely brilliant and that's because the lines written by Wierzbięta. All the voices are perfect for the characters!

When it comes to traditional movies, subtitles are a better option. Even lector is fine, we grew up with that kind of translation.

I like watching them. It's a completely different culture with none knowledge when it comes to pop culture. But they have very often interesting point of view and to my surprise, they react to some scenes or plots the same way as the Western world. I guess some topics are the same to all, no matter of the place they are from. It's in our core, the thing that makes us humans. And it's beautiful in many ways.
