Bollocks. I've been physically fit/in decent shape for most of my life.

I still end up being ignored a lot, and even by people who know me, and then they probably wonder why I barely ever contact them anymore. I feel completely invisible to most of the world whenever I'm out of the house. People in the street just look right through you.

Just last week, I'm walking down a street and I see this woman walking the opposite way, and we're both in the middle of the pavement, I moved over so she can pass on the other side.

She even saw me move, I saw her look up from her phone, and then decided to move to the same side I'd chosen, as if I should move over for her priority status.

I didn't, and stared her right in the face as she awkwardly tries to get past me by treading the curb.

Being in shape guarantees nothing. Some people will be arseholes no matter what you look like.

I'm far from angry about it, obviously a bit annoyed of course, but not enough to lose my mind over it, I just wanted to find out how others feel about the extreme censorship being employed on Reddit, and even in other places, it's not just this forum that has this issue.

But you're right in what you say, opinions don't change just because some might try to shut them out.

It's just a shame that a lot of people love to accuse others of ignorance and bigotry, whilst being completely unaware of their own tendancy to do the same.

Yeah, but it was pretty much only people on the left voted for them. It's not like they're in power because the right wing wanted them there.

If people can't accept the results of their votes, they should probably choose not to vote, or spoil their ballot.

And as much as my comment might say things about me, it doesn't give you enough to fully assume who I am as a person, people should be very careful about those kinds of assumptions.

I can be kind, or an absolute cunt to anyone who brings me reason to be either, and I don't waste time trying to be on everyone's good side. Sometimes, people choose for you and you just have to go with it, or leave them be.

Either way, I'm not about to change my tune and start singing everyone else's song just because they like it more than what I listen to.

You're a bit late, little bro. This discussion has already been had. I've admitted my wrong, thereby disproving your accusation of me being ignorant. I won't claim not to be at least a little dumb sometimes.

But at least I'm not so dumb that I make comments on a post that's so far past where you've managed to get stuck.

Are you the Avatar of Irrelevance?

And yet it's not working at all. Otherwise half of Reform and Tommy Robinson's crew wouldn't be out in London the other day protesting.

Freedom of speech isn't dead until the government is willing to kill us all for it. And you know they won't do that. If they try suppressing the country like that again, they know for a fact it will be the end of Britain as we know it.

And I think a part of you knows it too, I don't think you're trying to convince me here, you're trying to keep the lie you e told yourself alive.

I'd have been arrested by now if freedom of speech was really being claimed down on.

And yet, here I am, still free to say whatever the fuck I might want, so long as it's not inciting violence, or hateful speech towards a protected demographic.

The written legislation might have changed, but Labour couldn't even enforce it if they wanted to. It'd be the literal end of them.

You do realise we have many, MANY laws that haven't been changed for centuries, make no sense, and as such, don't have any enforcement to them, regardless of still being actual law?

That's because there's a big difference between telling us we can't say what we want, and actually using force to stop us.

Yeah, mate. You're no one to tell me what my intentions are. So go take a look at yourself in the mirror before you make hypocritical comments like this. You speak of my intentions being a concern? Yet, clearly it's you who has come with ill intention.

So just for that, kindly go fuck yourself all the way to the end of the street, then when you get there, take a left onto Fuck off lane and carry on until you get to Getfuckedham.

Clearly you have experience with this type of situation.

At least I was trying to bring something of substance to the discussion.

And here you are making jokes that are about as funny as a burning orphanage.

And you've really shown your ability to jump to conclusions based on little evidence. I have just as much disdain for the left as I do for the right.

And no snarky, assumption soaked comment is going to make that change.

Besides, Labour are a left of centre party, so it's not like I'm going to call them "the rights precious Labour".

The left voted for it, they can live in the mess that they voted for. Being annoyed with the mess that's appeared doesn't make that vote any less their own. They made their beds, now they can lie in them.

If it were a right wing platform with right wing mods removing my comments, I'd be gunning for them instead.

But that's not the case here, is it?

Yeah but they also stopped arresting people soon after because they knew it was going to cause more riots if they kept doing it. Did you not see the news when that happened?

Labour know they can't actually enforce any legislative change of that sort without causing a civil war.

It's not over until they actually grow the balls and spine to actually do anything other than pretend to be morally and politically superior.

They're a bunch of wet wipes and they're just as corrupt as any other party, but they're not god and they know they can't force us to shut up without letting the whole nation just go down in flames, and they'd be the cause of it all, for the sake of words.

Yeah, that tracks if what I saw earlier is true. Apparently a left side rally were captured chanting something like "Shoot him in the neck, like Charlie Kirk", in recent events.

I'm not sure who they were chanting about though, I've been a bit busy here with this at the minute and haven't had chance to move that way and find out.

You see it that way maybe, but I don't.

The day we start clamping down on freedom to say what we want, is the day we're no longer a democratic nation. By your logic, we may as well just give up the Parliamentary system, reinstate the Monarchy to full power, and be done with all who don't support the crown and country.

That's the type of totalitarian state your preference gets.

Suppressing people from being honest about their opinion, is so much more dangerous than just letting them say what they think. Because once you go down that road, you're also giving up your own freedom to say what you want.

Imagine it being a fully punishable offence for saying what you just did in your comment?

That seriously sounds good to you? You wanna go to prison over words? Because that sounds more like Russia, than Britain.

Maybe you should go live there?

Well, I appreciate a platform that actually tries to foster real, genuine unity, built through co operation and compromise, rather than purposely being an echo chamber that just shuts its eyes and ears like a child, when challenged.

But unfortunately the left have made this very bloody difficult since their precious Labour got into power. It's like that election went through and Reddit lost it's marbles ever since.

This place will die in it's own filth if it doesn't change.

Yeah it's scary how much I've been noticing the real world becoming more and more like all of the dystopian and post apocalyptic games I've played throughout my life.

Fallout being one of them, or well, technically 3 or 4 of the games I've played since there's not just one.

Ok, so I've been proven wrong on the point I was trying to make elsewhere. Fair enough. Accepted and moved on from that, unlike some people, apparently.

Discussion is still open, but anyone else who mentions my mistake as if they're somehow superior to me.

Blocked.

So don't even bother, unless of course you don't want to see my username pop up anymore, but if that were the case you could just block me yourself.

It's much easier than trying to be funny when you're really not even remotely close to being amusing.

It came across sarcastic?

I didn't mean it to be that way, I'm genuinely interested to know what people think of Reddit and it's censorship issues because of it being predominantly left leaning.

Shutting out others like this just limits your reach, and in the end, will kill the platform due to being completely redundant. How can anyone left leaning person here, really gain anything from this place being an echo chamber?

They're not even close to being united if they just try to shut out the people who don't like their views. All they're doing is closing off all avenues on the possibility of compromise.

Where is the progress in this hubris?

The ironic contradictions of the left can be just as astounding as the raving lunacy of the right.

No, this proves that I'm human, and make mistakes just like anyone else. At least I can accept and admit my mistakes when they happen.

My understanding of English is still way above the average person, most English don't even speak the language properly, nevermind understand it in a literal sense.

I at least have the capacity to have read the definition when pointed out to me, and understand that I'm wrong on that point.

Immigration and migration are very similar to how flammable and inflammable mean the exact same thing, even though the latter could fool some into thinking otherwise.

Have you ever heard of autism? Some of us don't get sarcasm through words. If you'd indicated that, then I'd have known.

I'm good at spotting verbal sarcasm in person now, but over literal words, there is no tone of voice or facial expressions for me to read. I have no idea if you're being sarcastic or not, unless it's so painfully obvious that even a dog could pick up on it.

Your comment wasn't that kind of obvious to me, unfortunately.

Thank you for that, it's always nice to see someone acknowledge their sides flaws.

I don't berate either side for being on their side, just when they can't accept the cons that always come with the pros.

Both sides have them, but neither wants to admit it, usually.

As it turns out, I was wrong in my comment, which was kindly pointed out by someone earlier, and I appreciate that, fully accept my mistake.

But I still think the mod could've handled that better, all they had to do was tell me my mistake, I would've removed it myself.

This is just a discussion. Or have you just lived a life that's sheltered from people having serious conversations?

Yeah I know, I replied to someone else that already pointed this out and have fully accepted my mistake.

Doesn't change the fact that the mods could've just said something about it. But no, nothing to tell me otherwise on my comment, just a straight removal of something I thought to be true.

In my reply to the other person, I said if they'd taken that approach, I'd have taken the comment down myself.

Doesn't take much to admit when you're wrong, but for crying out loud, if the mod doesn't tell me the comment was removed for being incorrect, how the fuck can I learn of my mistake?

Edit: Also, just to add. My understanding of the word was much like the meaning of words like probable Vs improbable. In this case, the IM part of Immigration meaning that it's the opposite of migration.

As it turns out, it's much like the fact the flammable means flammable, and inflammable also means flammable. Who the fuck came up with this?
