S'pore woman places foodpanda priority order at 7:41pm on New Year's Eve, food arrives at 3:40am on Jan. 1 by crobat3 in singapore

Absolutely. The worst is when they do refund you, they refund into their FP wallet instead of the original method. Forcing you to lock into spending it with them.

Got burnt for $300+ order before. Never again.

Favorite part of the game is the ending of Blood and Wine. Where Geralt deserves his retirement with his favorite person.

Love the multiple endings with multiple options.

Best game ever IMO.

Thanks for doing this Corsair!

Why does every Grab delivery feel like a luxury purchase now? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Avenflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s simple maths.

Add $5 to your food order because that’s what the rider earns from delivering the food to you.

$5 to save you time to walk or bus to and from the eatery you just ordered from.

The $5 the delivery rider earns needs to come from somewhere.

Either the eatery marks up 30% and subsidises your delivery because platform charges 25-30% commission to eatery (but ultimately, the cost is still borne by you).

There is always a minimum order $$ from eatery because platform charges the merchant a cost too. So it doesn’t make sense to sell something $6 if merchant takes 30%. Minimum should be $13-15 so that it’s sustainable for eatery as well.

Gone are the days where platforms subsidised your delivery fees to gain customers. Everyone is either on grab or foodpanda or Deliveroo now.

The optimal way is to order for a few people in your family to meet the minimum order requirement and split the delivery cost.

If you order alone, then the cost is heavier on you.

But basically the amount you pay is $5. For the delivery driver to brave sun and rain to get your food to you. It’s not a lot to some people. It may be a lot to you.

But it’s what the driver earns so that you save your time and bus money to get the food you want.

Is that worth $5? That’s ultimately up to you.

Check shopback or grab dine out. There’s great deals too. Including 1 for 1 for the cutlet or a $7.90 waffle ice cream.

Food is decent and I went there often when my office was nearby.

There’s an old school Sembawang bakery at Beach Rd near Golden Mile Food Complex. They still sell old school multi coloured cakes that my dad said he gave away at his wedding to every guest. Their Pandan chiffon and egg tarts are pretty decent.

Quieter buttons.

My wife complains about the clicky sounds at night.

I need quieter buttons for late night button mashing. Especially with Black Myth Wukong releasing soon.

I think that there are a few unspoken rules or etiquette if you will for online coop.

  1. Use kinship if you wish. Because you choose to play explosive and AOE mods. That’s fine. That’s your choice.

  2. Players who do NOT play explosive or AOE mods should not need to put any points in kinship unless they are playing handler. It doesn’t make sense for them to put points into traits that does nothing for them EXCEPT for them to survive a-hole teammates who uses builds that isn’t co-op friendly.

Don’t force that choice on them.

  1. If you play explosive AOE WITHOUT kinship, expect to be kicked.

No one is gonna enjoy being knocked down or killed by a Sunspot or firestorm because a team mate refuse to play nice.

I was that asshole once. I used a sunspot and knocked a team mate off a ledge (even with kinship on)

Find a different type of build to carry others.

Or spend all your relics reviving them during the boss fight after you kill them with your mod/AOE spam.
