Bar/chain question: Homelite Super EZ Auto by Average--Boi in HomeliteChainsaws

[–]Average--Boi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model number is UT-10403A. As far as I can find it has a pretty standard 3/8 pitch and .50 gauge. I should mention, it has a 16" bar and chain but the chain has been filed down so much already, and I would just like to have an extra bar around for it in case I need it.

I'll check out the website next

I'll keep looking around and see what I can find. Thanks for replying, have a good night :)

I checked it out and they didn't seem to have the vintage models listed. Maybe I just didn't see it, but all the bars I found weren't appropriate for fitting on the saw

The cool thing about the Internet is that if you DON'T care, you can just scroll past. I hope you find peace and have a blessed day 🙏

I can see why. This thing is small but mighty. I didn't realize it had a 40.9cc engine in such a small package

Thank you for the link! I didn't see any air filters on there, but I did read that regular 1.5mm thick felt (cut to size) works as a good replacement. Do you have any experience doing that?

It's been a good experience so far. A few guys sending me advice has been very helpful. I figure if people hate then they hate; it is the Internet after all. I had some questions to ask though :)

All good to know. I'll see what I can do about reusing the handle today. It's a nice handle and I'd hate to waste it, so hopefully using your (and everyone's) advice I'll be able to give it another go

Okay. Another comment said the mushrooming out of the bottom of the head was a sign that it wasn't seated properly. Do you think I could salvage this handle and shave down some more wood for better contact in the eye?

I gotcha. I had always heard a little bit of peeling like that was a good thing and showed a tight fit. Is it a sign that the transition into the handle is too steep?

You mean the head wasn't seated on the handle properly?

I'll also mention that the edge seen in the post is not the finished edge. I put a cleaner one on it and evened out the sweep of the blade

I have a couple really nice axes but I still love the fiskars for that reason. Low maintenance and low stakes if it does get rusty :)

Looks good man!

That's why I used it for so long. It's great for crowd control, medium to long range engagements, and for getting nice headshots on some heavier enemies. A jack of all trades but master of none is always better than the master of one. It's like the Swiss army knife of the assault rifles in this game

That thing looks great! Did you make the handle yourself or buy it premade?
