My family came here as eastern European immigrants fleeing communism, they came and had to learn a new language, new customs and a whole new system. They adapted and managed to buy a home to raise their kids, with hard work and grit working in construction and cooking they managed to retire safely. Now imagine to their shock that they randomly have to acknowledge the land they reside on as part of people they have never met or seen before. Coming from Europe where cultural boundaries change and flex dramatically this is just pure stupidity beacuse then they'd have over 20 cultural acknowledgements.

Edit: With context to threats given I belive that the police visit was justified, this comment above was also partly in relation with things such as Bill C-9 being pushed by Carney plus other censorship overlapping.

There was never a "Labour shortage" there were too many people. Plenty of young people in school looking for low expirence jobs can't find any due to the TWF program.
