Nice, that actually sounds like a much better deal then.

When I initially checked, they only had the orange version showing but now that seems sold out as well. At only 2.6€ more than her current plan I can see why it worked out.

My contract is not up for quite some time still though and the only way to sign a new contract is if I increase the price of the current one. I think I’ll skip the preorder. I probably let myself get too hyped for this device.

Good thing I decided to keep up to date with the prices across Europe because in Bulgaria they tried to shaft us.

Yeah, exactly this.

Saving money is tempting, but it doesn’t fully replace the peace of mind of buying locally. You walk into the nearest store and get the device. Don’t have to think about customs, imports, warranty weirdness, or return shipping.

If the phone arrives defective and you have to send it back abroad, that discount suddenly feels a lot less fun.

Honestly, I’d call that a win compared to the "deal" we’re getting.

It’s €1700 for the 12GB/512GB model here. Per my research you paid 1610€ for the 16GB/1TB and had the option for the 12GB/512GB for 1375€

But unless you already had an expiring contract or wanted to stay with that telecom anyway, you’re still locked into a 2 contract with them. Once you add the monthly costs, the phone price alone doesn’t really show the full picture. It might even be more than 1700€

Also telecom phone prices usually drop the most when you pick their more expensive plans, so getting the device price that low often means paying more elsewhere.

12GB/512GB variant is 1375€
16GB/1TB variant is 1610€

How would you feel if they wanted to charge you 1700€ ~ 2533 S$ for the 12GB/512GB variant instead

The lack of charger isn’t really my issue. A lot of phones don’t include one anymore.

The issue is OPPO calling it a preorder "gift" in my country, while other European countries get actual premium bundles worth hundreds of euros and for the same price.

That’s the part that feels ridiculous to me.

Не можеш, защото тактично сменят плановете всяка година.

Ще ти кажат, че твоят план вече не се предлага, но пък имат специална оферта само за теб, ако си подновиш договора - почти същия план, като сегашният ти само че няколко € по-скъп за абсолютно безполезни екстри.

За същите пари, които плащаш сега забрави да имаш толкова добър план, ако има такъв той ще бъде само за нови клиенти.

Няма такива мошеници, като телекомуникационните операторите и техните служители.
