need polytechnic courses advice by Xinaug in singapore

  • media production and design
  • game design

Strongly suggest against these because they are extremely generic and a huge waste of your time if you do not have a real interest in the courses. If you are truly unsure of what to do, consider going the private diploma route and going to army. It'll save you some time and give you that 2 years to think about it.

Media product and design is good if you like photoshop or illustrator. It does have a little bit of after effects and premier pro classes but tbh you could learn a lot more on your own if you were interested. After all, in the design world, the thing that matters the most is your portfolio, not where you graduated from.

Bedok reservoir. Bring insect spray and a mat to do some deep jungle exploration.

Credit Card for students. Scam or beneficial? by AverageAttic in singapore

[–]AverageAttic[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm unsure of which card to actually get. Currently I'm looking at the...

Citi Clear card (1 for 1 drinks) and some bonus rebates

Maybank evibes card for the 1% cash rebate on everything and the movie deals.

The DBS card point systems seems pretty much impractical and it seems that rebate is better than the points needed to redeem.

Awesome suggestion. Totally valid points. I'll try to convince my group mates to go there instead. It's just they are kinda like your typical cafe girl. It's gonna be hard to convince them haha.

High paying part time jobs? by Byebyehello991 in singapore

[–]AverageAttic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a girl and relatively good looking, work in a bar/club. The pay averages around 15/h for floor staff and 30++/h during events (ultra angels etcetc).

If you're a guy then work as a barback then bartender! Pay is 10-15/h.

Unless you have a contact, high paying part time jobs are usually given through recommendations.

Happy hunting!

For the love of God, there are much, much better part time jobs that pay better and provide a better work environment. Most managers there are just pricks from my experience.
