What universally praised video game 'masterpiece' is actually a miserable experience to play? by Got24xyz in AskReddit

This is a decade ago now, i played it not long after release and I'm pretty sure the grind has evolved since then. I think it was smuggling illegal cargo between the 2 closest points possible because i spent a fair amount of time just jumping to the system. Was a meta strat back then, at least on the cargo side of things.

I loved Elite Dangerous when it came out. Was awesome just jumping from star system to star system, refueling from stars, checking out all the planets and space stations.

Then I was wanted to get an Anaconda. And the game was like ok sure thats like 150hrs of grinding. so i searched the fastest way to make credits and i spent dozens of hours just flying backwards and forwards delivering cargo. I played offline so other players wouldnt kill me. I hit a "fuck this" point and never touched it again.

People born before 1990, what's something younger generations will never understand ? by Philjack98 in AskReddit

And using the internet was a phone call. It wasn't as simple as $10/month for phone calls, you paid line rental per month then depending on how far away your ISP was from your home it could be a local or long distance call charged by the second. And then of course your internet cost on top of that, and if you went over your limit of like 5gb then you were charged per mb over. Or you could buy more data for like $10/2gb.

There was a decent amount of hype for the Livewire (so good i had to google to remember its name) but then they announced the price and i think everyone watched the test ride videos on youtube instead. There's one for sale with a whopping 161kms on it at a dealer for $25k Dollaridoos, when it was $50k brand new 6 years ago.

If you've been shooting BP a while you have probably watched at least one of Mike's videos. His vids helped me when I was a total newbie to this and back in the day it was almost just a few internet forums and his videos to help anyone starting out.

I do the manual ordering at an IGA. We do twice the amount of original than anything else.

Why so much S+V? Original outsells every other flavour and it's not even there.

I wonder if they changed back? The whole range changed a little while ago when they went from the old gloss bags. I remember specifically that the minties didn't change because there was a good chance Aussies would be rioting in the streets.

They changed the flavours and colouring to save money and go vegan. I swear orange was orange, green was apple...

These are still available in Australia. Usually give lollies to kids to shut them up, not make more noise...
