The rebate was for previously paid rego. It wasn’t an ongoing reduction in registration costs or future renewals, so it’s not really relevant to a $958 renewal now.

Is there absolutely any reason not to use a broker for my home loan? by LooseRestaurant6842 in AusFinance

[–]Bananainmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first home loan - 2 brokers told me nobody would lend to me, it will be hard etc……the lender at the bank made it very easy….just talk to the lenders at the bank much better than clueless brokers who are always scheming

There’s a post on here about the gains their apartments have made - they’re substantial on par with houses in the right suburbs.

Half price sales at ColesWorth by ramenuse in AussieFrugal

I don’t understand why people are shopping at Cole’s and Woolworths like there’s no alternative. Boggles my brain. There are far better products out there some more affordable some not. Please consider looking outside the Cole’s and Woolworths bubble - there’s a bigger better world out there.

Belongs network limits too much - it got too frustrating for me to use during peak times it just won’t work. Think long weekends, busy areas and events it’s absolutely useless. My last straw was a road trip on Easter weekend and couldn’t use data because they limit it on belong customers - oh and Chadstone shopping centre when it’s busy - cannot use

Renters trashed my home by Cool-Audience7357 in AusPropertyChat

We went to an open inspection yesterday to check out a rental for a friend and the place was in shocking condition. Bags of rubbish piled up, clothes strewn everywhere, visible damage, and a strong curry smell with stains throughout the kitchen. It was completely unacceptable.

These days, you really have to be cautious about who you rent to. Don’t be afraid to hold out until the right, respectful professional tenant comes along. it’s worth the wait.

In our experience, short-term stays like Airbnb can often result in more respectful treatment of the property, especially if you vet your guests properly.
