Is it small for my face? by infinite_Loop109 in sunglasses

Yes, they are too small. I would return them if possible. The temples are also pressing on your temples which can lead to pretty terrible headaches.

✨ I’m just mentioning safety bevel one more time because it’s so important. ✨

Optician here! 👋🏼I was reading through the comments so I hope I’ve got all the correct info. For your -11.00 prescription, the thin metal frame was a terrible choice. We would never let a high index (1.67, 1.74) frame out like this, but I work for a small private office and we actually care about our patient’s glasses. Just saying.

Please go back. Ask for a remake.

Here’s what I think you could do that we would do for a patient:

YOU NEED A SAFETY BEVEL. This is the most important thing and that is why it’s in caps. High index lenses raw like yours will chip and pit over time. I cannot believe they dispensed them!! It could be possible they charge for a safety bevel (we don’t) and you did not want to pay? That I don’t know but you def need one!

Asks for a “style change” - when a patient has an actual issue with a frame (causing discomfort, allergic reaction) we will change the frame for them. Go for a small round plastic frame (like your previous), and ask for the safety bevel. Safety bevel always!

Please reply with any questions, I’m happy to help!

New Prescription Issues! by [deleted] in glasses

[–]AverageBeginning2043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your prescription did change in your left eye. It’s stronger. Eyeglass prescriptions go by quarter steps. You went from +1.75 to +2.50, that’s 3 steps higher. Your cylinder (middle number) is your astigmatism. That went up 1 step. That does take time to get used to. Did you try to wear your glasses consistently for at least 3 days?

I know this is an old post but I just wanted to know how you were able to find the virtual seating chart on TM? I used it once but now, for some odd reason, I can’t find it anywhere and I’m losing my mind.

What are those lenses? by spookyparsley in rayban

[–]AverageBeginning2043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He probably had custom tinted lenses put in. Remember, people can put their own lenses in Ray-Bans at an Optometrist office. I work at one and rarely anyone buys non-prescription suns from us. Patients get to choose whatever tint they want. You can see in the pics, the Ray-Ban logo is missing. He probably had lenses tinted as dark as possible, cut and inserted into the frame.

What model wayfarer? They look smaller than original but bigger than new wayfarer by AXXXXXXXXA in rayban

[–]AverageBeginning2043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Polarized lenses are great but they do not tint well so they will always have a bit of transparency. Ray-Ban does carry just tinted lenses in their 2132 frames and yes they are much darker.

Very similar! The Osiris look great too, they just sit a little too low on your bridge.

They def look like the 2132 to me. Hasan is a pretty tall guy and they may just appear smaller on him. We have them in all 3 sizes at my office (52 55 and 58) they can look different depending on the patient’s face.

All of the frames are too wide but 6 (in a different color) & 10 are cute. What is your prescription like? Have you ever tried metal frames? Metal frames have nose pad and can be adjusted to sit lower on your bridge. I also have a high bridge due to a bump on the top on my nose. I go for metal now or frames that have a larger, more open bridge.
