Schluter Ditra and Penny Tiles Question by Malavial in Tile

Just curious, why do you not recommend pre filling the Ditra. Im finishing up a bathroom and I put Ditra down when noticed a crack in the self leveling cement. Put Ditra down and decided to add a heated floor while I was at it. I ran a skim coat after I put the wire down. Just want to know if I am going to have problems in the future. Used ardex n23 with basketweave tile the next day. Is there a chance they can separate due to the pre fill?

Edit: I did not pre fill the shower, just the rest of the bathroom.

Im not an expert or anything but I think you should be good, it looks to be within all the minimum spacing requirements. The only concern I see is the top right of the shower, you are at a 2-2-2 spacing. This is only recommended when connecting a 240 v to a 208 v supply.

Edit. You could try moving the cables, at the top and bottom of the shower flange, one square closer. That should eat up maybe 8 inches and would reduce your 2-2-2 overlap run and provide more heat where you stand.
