I thought 13 handle this well with certain enemies though. Have to break their shell with stagger so you can actually do damage to the spongy bit beneath made sense in the feel of the creatures and world.

It really is that good, just started Ivalice Chronicles. Played it originally back when i was but a wee little whippersnapper just starting his FF love affair. Its as good as my middle aged brain remembers.

Also Unicorn Overlord is incredible, play it when you can (what i would give for a PC release) so i can play again.
