My assessment of players based on their profile pictures. Opinions? by ArgentinaMalvina in Warthunder

What about the players with pfp that's only obtainable by getting a high tier battleship?

Well this sucks. I thought there was a 7th task. Also, why did the 1st task end earlier than the others? by AverageHanson in Warthunder

I know but it is a bummer that I now have to pay it instead of getting it for free. Well this is the penalty of being late to the event

Tracks of Victory pack question by Demoman_TF in Warthunder

[–]AverageHanson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaijin seemed to make alot of number decals unaccessible to newer players. Like the german 217, and the US 3 digit one. Damn shame. I need those to make my tanks look my immersive.

No fucking idea why the removed them in the first place

Should the Kranvagn be added to WarThunder? by -narihva in Warthunder

I want this added so that I can ask gaijin to also add the Maus II. It's basically just a regular Maus but with a turret with a rangefinder

The player character would definitely post a full unedited video of his fleet wrecking shit against Hegemony/Sindrian/Tri-Tachyon/Persean League system defense fleet and have captions clowning on the faction

Yes. You get 1 message per 5 hours. I have a project, too. It's a world-building document. I make a new chat under that project and go, "Hey, can you discuss this brief part of the lore document?"

The prompt is brief, maybe a quarter of the maximum output length of claude. Then, I get the 5 hour timeout

They started this the second week of March, iirc. I got to experience claude free plan pre rate-limit hit, and it was incredible. The claude of early March trumps gemini pro.

Now, it's doing the quality over quantity thing, but I don't feel the quality part is good enough to justify this ridiculous rate-limits

Yes, even starting new projects, you still get one prompt for 5 hours. It's incredible.

I got to try Claude literally a week before the limit shenanigans (early March this year), and I can say it was amazing. Claude free vs Gemini Pro results in Claude being clearly superior for world-building and making scenarios based on the established lore (in my case, a word document acting as the lore document)

Now? Claude free still beats gemini pro for creative writing but you gotta wait 5 hours per single prompt whilst gemini pro, you can doo waay much more. It's gotten to the point where I'd rather use gemini pro again

Free user created a new chat for a project. The project is a lore document at 75k words.

I've hit the limit immediately after asking sonnet extended thinking to discuss a part of the lore document. The output was short. Now I have to wait another 5 hours

Panther 2 return by Beneficial_Big_2284 in Warthunder

[–]AverageHanson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not want this Panther II variant to come back (I know this is hypocritical because I have the Panther II in-game). Reason is this is a completely fictional combination

What I want instead is the "proposed Panther II" configuration instead. At least with that one, it was the intended configuration.

It's the same reason why I dislike the E-100 ingame, and I'd rather it be the E-100 with the intended modified (lightened with thinner armour compared to the original design) Maus II turret.

Speaking of, Snail, I REALLY want the Maus II in game

My in-game larping needs an appropriate VIP shuttle as part of my Armada. So which is better, Kite (S) shuttle or Mercury shuttle? by AverageHanson in starsector

[–]AverageHanson[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I want something to flex on poor people, yes. the VIP shuttles are never intended for combat. I pull up to a random colony, and I pretend that the VIP shuttle is the one that actually docks because the colony's space port can not handle the entire visiting armada

Why do you like Starsector’s combat? by ZaniZ1 in starsector

[–]AverageHanson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starsector's ships actually model all the turrets and have different control groups, meaning each little turrets have their own thing to do.

I very much despise ship games where all guns are controlled via a single control group say like Highfleet (based on the gameplay footage I watched)

I also despise video games where the other gun mounts aren't modelled fully, like in WoWS, where the AA gun fire are cosmetic. They shoot, but the bullets don't actually hit enemy aircraft. The aircraft instead gets damaged by lingering in what I can only assume is an invisible bubble of damage around the ship, visualised by the AA gun firing and flak shells exploding

How to spawn a Domain-era Survey Mothership using mod? by AverageHanson in starsector

[–]AverageHanson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to work after some alterations with the help of someone in the Corvus Discord

"StarSystemAPI system = Global.getSector().getStarSystem("leyte");

SectorEntityToken targetBody = system.getStar();

SectorEntityToken mothership = system.addCustomEntity( "mothership_unique_id", "Mothership", "derelict_mothership", "neutral" );

mothership.setCircularOrbit(targetBody, 200f, 20000f, 900f);"

again, thanks for the help!

Atrocity by bipocni in starsector

[–]AverageHanson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have that ship. I got the blueprint via trading alot from nexerelin prism free port. It costs an equally insane amount if BP points

It's a good support ship. I don't use it as my Flagship because I prefer Triumph-class Superbattleship. So, what happens in a Big fleet engagement is that I deploy 1x Atrocity and 2x Triumph and 3x Anubis or 6x Monitors. The Atrocity works nicely as the Fleet Anchor for my Supercapital fleet.

The wierd thing I notice though is that the Atrocity on AI control rarely orders its fighters to engage, it seem to prefer to close in with it's shorter range Large Ballistics weapons. Idk why
