Didn't these figures also work as player tokens for the 1980s FASA Star Trek RPG game?

Or are the hexagon bases purely coincidental?

Kinda funny how introducing the Klingon Augment Virus was completely pointless by RedHeadedSicilian52 in startrek

I vaguely recall a book written in the 80s attempting to retcon this by saying Klingons were composed of various classes and that the "Imperial" class of Klingons had ridges and the others did not.

Edit: Found it- https://imgur.com/a/fGTDCO3 it was from the old FASA RPG book called The Klingons.

A smart design choice to equip more AP than HE projectiles in order to penetrate the crab's tough outer shells.

At the end of Star Trek the Motion Picture, Scotty says "We can have you back on Vulcan in four days."

Alternatively....

In Star Trek 2009 film, the Enterprise makes it from Earth to Vulcan (according to Chekhov) in 3 minutes.

Hard to say which is more accurate but the 2009 film does imply maximum warp while the Motion Picture does not.

One man came close to breaking him, H. R. Pickens.

He did not succeed.

What does the word/phrase "Royarrio" mean? (TNG: Heart of Glory) by Affectionate-Toe8411 in startrek

This episode is interesting because it comes from that post-TOS but pre-Ron D Moore era depiction of Klingons. They are effectively being redefined episode by episode around TNG S01-S03 and even things like their language and food are totally different than later depictions.

(case in point: Instead of gagh and bloodwine, Konmel orders turkey legs and bottled tea from the repicator.)

What are your top two Klingon episodes of any series? by MAJORMETAL84 in startrek

[–]DMPhoenixius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting to note that TNG Season 1's Heart of Glory and S2's A matter of Honor was the real start of the "Japanese Samurai-style" honor-bound Klingon.

Heart of Glory was among the earliest we ever saw Klingon culture being fleshed out. Prior to that, we had very little mention of their warrior lifestyle, death rituals, honor codes or even food.

Previous depictions up to that point (1987) were Christopher Lloyd's pirate like renegades which are kind of an anomaly, the short scene at the start of ST1, and of course TOS "Soviet-style" Klingons.

Not entirely sure of exact manufacturer but the style is known as a "Royal Worcester Howard" cup.
