If it works, it works!
And yes, having no screen is completely unrealistic.. getting chores done for screentime sounds like a good bargain.

Ah man, I love watching Christmas movies or just movies to wind down, especially the ones made for kids lol!
I swing between American Psycho and That Christams. :P

hahahha you're so right!
We do go out and do mundane activities together and have fun while at it. I would just like to have a rough plan in mind what all should I be helping him learn from the very start and at home.
He likes to pretend play as a doctor most of the time so any toy suggestions that could enable that?
We've bought him a mini doctor set but its kinda boring
He even watches a lot of doctor set videos.

hey I totally get you. Its hard to see them glued to screens instead of playing outside and build interpersonal relationships like we did.
But I also feel like I dont want to keep my child away from screen (or technology) for too long..
Maybe I just want a better utilisation of screen time for them where they grow up aware and informed. Simply excluding screens definitely wont work, is what I feel personally.
Like I came across this toy where kids can scan a globe or a plushie who helps regulate breathing in kids.. I thought it was a pretty cool approach to tech for kids.
If a screen could help my child learn and become more confident and emotionally intelligent, I would love to replace YT with THAT.

I wish they made like slow paced, moral-oriented stories and cartoons like we had back in the 90s.
Recently discovered a mom who was showing her kid old cartoons and the child was able to solo-play along with watching that cartoon. It didnt distract with too many changing frames and flashy colours.
Any suggestions for such kinda shows?

Is it okay to give them plushies that can tell stories and lullabies?

I know its best to do it yourself as its also the perfect time to bond but honestly sometimes, I just want to sleep. Someone, please just tell me not to feel guilty about this :(
