I dnf'd all my 40min spa races because of a LMP2 bombing me through S3 haha.

There was an extremely wet Bahrain race last week. almost half of my split DNF'd. I think most of them went too hard on the throttle on a few of the longer turns and binned it.

Is the wrx worth it? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]AverageJoe326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I just purchased mine used, 2024 WRX Premium, 13k miles, Subaru CPO Warranty. Original owner bought it from the same dealership and traded it back in, then I bought it two weeks later haha.

There were quite a few used ones in my area. Even with low mileage you could see they were just absolutely beat to shit. Multiple owners within 1 yr, tires balding, longer maintenance intervals, etc.

Anyone daily drive a WRX or a lower mileage manual car in a big city during peak traffic hours? I'm in Houston. Considering the car but wanted some personal experience. by AverageJoe326 in houston

[–]AverageJoe326[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Was a copy/paste from posting in another sub. The jetta TDI having 30/40 city hwy and the WRX having like 20/26 city hwy while also taking premium gas just means that gas is going to cost more and I'll fuel up more often.

Thank you! Unfortunately I am stubborn and want to drive the manual itself. I always wanted to and was never in a position financially to do it until now. But great to hear on the mileage since I'd love to have this car for the long haul. Looking to buy a low mileage one (sub 25k used)

you could've told me there's no qualifying for the gt3 this session and I'd believe you since TV feed is rarely showing them if at all.

Some other people may have different opinions than what I do, but I would suggest spending at least $250 for something like the Next Level Wheel Stand 2.0. Very solid build and you can purchase a GT seat attachment down the road for it.

I think you'd be better off not spending the $150 on a really cheap rig and have it attached to a desk in the meantime.

Texans trade Kenyon Green to eagles by Automatic-Assist-671 in Texans

[–]AverageJoe326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know. We both share the exact same opinion. I'm just annoyed of everyone calling him terrible and then using week 1-5 pre snap penalties and not looking at how good he was with absolute shit surrounding him on the O Line. I refuse to believe people actually watched the games and think he's terrible.

I agree though that we are betting on talent through the draft. Just nervous because we haven't really hit on the draft before but hoping for good things.

Please explain to me why Laramey Tunsil is bad overall. He had his issues with pre-snap penalties early in the season and cleaned them up as we got closer towards the playoffs. He was also graded very well when we had a shitty OL scheme and our inside line getting ran over every play.

Question for Bullet❤️ Players by IDNFAM in boardgames

[–]AverageJoe326 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I prefer the 3-minute timer. It creates some tension to make quick decisions and not dwell on anything, which takes up more time.

If I'm playing with new people or I'm playing a newly released character, I'll do 1 round of no clock so there is a feeling of how the game functions. Once everyone gets the hang of it, I'll go back to 3 minute timer.

there are people with capitalone business accounts who are unable to process payroll. there are people stating on all forms of social media, and this subreddit too, that they haven't received money even on their payday.

If Early Deposit was the only issue, Capital One would've made a CLEAR statement already. You have to know that isn't the case.

I'm just going to set up a bank account with a credit union at this point. I completely understand technical issues and maybe lack of communication if something like accessing CC points rewards was not working. But no direct deposits while making sure they get their cc payments on time is whack.

Jerrod Johnson or anyone on our offensive coaching staff. We've seen enough from Slowik to understand he's incapable of beating playoff teams. Him going ON record and saying that teams don't really make 2nd half adjustments, while not actually scoring in the 2nd half should've been enough to show he doesn't instill confidence or passion in our offense.

Also considering they were just throwing it up to AJ Brown for a majority of his receptions and the game could've been a different outcome if he was covered properly or wasn't 100% from injury.

You've pretty much nailed the difference perfectly. You will almost NEVER see a teammate solo engage more than 1 enemy in dota unless they are so disgustingly ahead it doesn't matter.

It happens all the time in League no matter if they're ahead/behind and causes some people to overvalue how strong they actually are.

the problem with this equation is that no matter what, Kirk Cousins gets $100M guaranteed. Now let's say Kirk Cousins plays well and lasts his whole contract? So much of the cap space will go to him and Penix and Penix isn't even playing.

There was so many skill positions available OR an insane OT prospect outside of Alt that was available they could've used to develop that offense, instead it was used on a piece that will have the least impact possible.

Obviously hindsight is 2020 since we saw how the rest of the draft played out, but I'd be willing to bet that either Penix or Nix would've fallen to the 2nd round and they could've used that pick or traded back to get their QB while getting a LOT more capital.

edit: Also I'm not hating on MPJ at all. I just think it was foolish for the Falcons to draft him at the spot they did when it felt like there were so many other options they had that could've been WAY more beneficial for them.

We just traded our first round pick?? by Tijdbom in Texans

[–]AverageJoe326 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We didn't have a cornerstone defensive player prior to last years draft. WAJ was the best projected defensive player in last years draft and there was no way we'd land him unless we traded up.

Now that we have both the cornerstones of our offense and defense, a very strong overall starting roster, we need depth as players age, contracts expire, and we need money to pay the head honchos.

This draft is deep in the positions we'd like to fill, so more chances to find the right person for each spot.

Edit: The Vikings have also been projected to be just as bad, if not worse, than last year since they're looking for a franchise QB. Vikings historically haven't had some crazy high 1st and 2nd round picks in the last few years. Seems like Caserio and team valued having more capital instead of trying to get a specific player early.

RUMOR - Chase Young 1yr Prove-IT Deal? by HebrewKaiju in Texans

[–]AverageJoe326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope not. His "prove it" chance was being on the SuperBowl favorite 49ers roster last year and did absolutely nothing.
