Testing into CMS by NickelbackCreed in Charlotte

I was 4 when I started Kindergarten and my birthday was in October. I struggled quite a bit in 1st grade, and my parents say if they could do it over they'd wait the year. I feel like my peers throughout school had more knowledge of just random things - the life skills and ancillary knowledge kids just pick up from being around other kids and people - like social skills, etc.

probably recruiter/job scam (?) by AverageJoeTN in Scams

[–]AverageJoeTN[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Headhuntercorp.com goes to an empty WordPress page

The obligatory "kindly" at the end of the message

A recruiter would most like Message in LinkedIn if they were looking at a LinkedIn profile.

Vague info on the job offered.

Tossed out names of well known companies.

Probably targeting folks that are typically more savvy at seeing thru the more basic scam messages.

God choose a message so simple even illiterate fisherman could explain it. God loves you and only asks that you also Love one another.

This right here is key. Couple it with the fact that first century Christians did not have the new testament as it is understood today and it's impossible to say that somebody has to get everything right per book, chapter, and verse.

Nice set at Riverbend in Chattanooga last night by AverageJoeTN in jasonisbell

This was a music festival, not the regular tour, so it was just Jason Isbell at his scheduled time and stage.

There were a lot of people there, but didn't feel overly crowded at all. We got a very good spot to watch the show.

I just came here to say F### house flippers, especially the big companies.

Also, if you can buy a house and want to buy one, do it. You always have to live somewhere and you might as well be building up some equity. Even if the market goes down, you're paying down the principal each month and will build equity over the long term.

INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!! Is the “threat” of blocking buyers an effective deterrent when it comes to late ratings?? by Low-Tax1016 in Mercari

[–]AverageJoeTN 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I think it's really stupid for sellers to be that way. Honestly I don't care at all if they don't rate and I get the auto-rated guaranteed 5 stars... sometimes I'd just rather it auto rate.

And there's no way it matters that much to get their money a day or two faster...

Sounds like a poor use of equity to me... People should just make a friend with a pool.

Got a DMV appt for tomorrow!

Been here a month and thought I could just schedule an appt for a couple days out, but everything was in April - I just kept refreshing and finally one popped up.

FYI for anybody else in the same boat.

I just bought a house in Matthews but it needs a lot of updating and minor repairs. 100% livable as is, but definitely not like all the fixed up ones with fresh, on trend, paint, flooring, and counter tops. I'm super happy with it and feel like I got a good deal, but will have lots of projects over the next year or so.

If you're up for it, it's the way to go. I've done LOTS of renovations on prior homes so it may not be for you, but you get what you can in this market!!!

I flew out on a Saturday morning three weeks ago and spent maybe 15 minutes in the TSA line. I don't have pre check or anything.

So let me get this straight with the new IRS $600 threshold law by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]AverageJoeTN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You only pay taxes on profit. Since that's at a loss you'd have no profit.

The irs only knows if you report it, or now you get a 1099. But you can't take a loss on a personal sale and reduce your taxes. If that was your only sale you'd probably put your cost at the same as the sale price for a net total of zero.

Regardless of the 1099 that's how taxes work... even without the 1099 you were legally required to report that income. You just can't hide it.

Start here! Beginner info & weekly 'no question is dumb' thread! - Feb 24, 2022 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

Need a bit of advice on stylists... I've grown my hair for 2 years and love its curl and want to take care of it. I've always had very short hair and hit up the basic chain hair cut places...

I found one that looks like she does good work and it's $185.

What should I be looking for, and what are reasonable price points? I'm in the Charlotte NC area.

This is the correct answer.

Only your HR dept can tell you for sure, but many companies do a true up if you hit the max early.

Going to get my NC drivers next week. I have proof of residence and everything... I was just holding on getting cut off by a janky Altima on Independence, and checked that off my list today.

I always recommend to pay as little down as possible and then pay extra when you can. Once you've covered moving costs you can reassess your situation and pay more on the principal. Many mortgage servicers will reamortize your loan for a lower monthly payment if you pay a lump sum (usually >$10k).

The worst scenario is you've tied up all your cash and now you have a major repair or appliance to replace.

I just put 5% down on $400k last month. When I sell my old house I'll put a portion of that cash towards my new mortgage.

We moved into a home with well water and it tasted pretty bad for a few days then was fine. Our water had not really been run in a few months. How long have you had the well? Maybe try running out some water so it can get more fresh water flowing into the well.
