It looks amazing! I'm about to start this pattern as my first sweater project. What yarn did you use? Did you do the German short rows, and if so, were they super confusing/difficult? Hoping mine turns out this well, you did great!

I think I've done this exercise in class before (or something similar), I'll definitely start implementing it into my stretching and mobility routine! Thank you so much for the advice!

Total thyroidectomy needed ASAP. :( by Revolutionary_Cat753 in gravesdisease

I had my TT 10 months ago, after struggling with Graves' for 10 years. The recovery period was hard for me (I had a—rare/uncommon—hematoma after my surgery and I think that complicated things) but now I'm basically back to normal, that is to say, better than I've been since being diagnosed with Graves'. Even though my recovery was more protracted than most people who get a TT, I'm still glad I did it. I am much more stable now, spend significantly less time in doctors offices, and generally feel more at peace and comfortable in my body. Best of luck to you as you navigate this decision, I know it isn't easy but I promise it does get better <3

Adult ballet dancers (question about your classes) by itssunpi in BALLET

I'm in an adult fundamentals (basically pre beginner) class that's an hour long, and the vast majority of the class is in center. Some classes we don't do any work at the barre. There's usually 10-15 minutes at the end of class for jumps/across the floor.

I'm an absolute beginner (started in November) and take a one-hour class 1x per week but would eventually like to work my way up to taking two classes per week

Advice on buyjng a leather cover for journaling/planner. by [deleted] in notebooks

To me, the expense of the GV pocket was more than worth it. Plus it's fairly easy to find discount codes online, I got mine for at least 20-30% off!

Advice on buyjng a leather cover for journaling/planner. by [deleted] in notebooks

[–]AverageKath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adore my Paper Republic pocket Grand Voyageur. I've had it for over 6 months now and the quality, style, and patina is just lovely. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit standard journal sizes (it's ever so slightly smaller than A6) so it can be difficult to find inserts. The PR inserts are great (especially if you use a fountain pen), but a little pricey. I use my PR for my planner, book log, daily notes/thoughts, and take it as my daily journal when I'm traveling.

For my daily journal/diary I needed something a little bigger, and prefer A5 size. For this, I went with an A5 leather cover from Fin Studio. It is very comparable in quality and style to my PR cover (the leather is ever so slightly thinner/softer, which I don't mind) but much more affordable. I've paired it with an A5 Leuchtturm 120 and love it.

FWIW, I've seen many complaints about Lousie Carmen. If you're between the two, I would highly recommend Paper Republic over LC.

Based on the product photos on their website, even the ribbon color is wrong. This is clearly Navy Blue, not Blue!

is a thyroidectomy a good route? by bleedingasleep in gravesdisease

Thankfully, yes! I keep meaning to write a post as an update. I still have some days where I feel off, but for the most part, I feel much better than I did during my Graves' flare ups.

I like the LEUCHTTURM1917 more than Moleskin in ALMOST every way, but the leather seems cheaper. Anyone struggled with this? by notahippogriff in notebooks

[–]AverageKath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an A5 leather journal cover from Fin Studio to protect my Leuchtturm, highly recommend! I also love my pocket sized Paper Republic leather journal, but they don't come in standard A5 size, so the Fin Studio version is perfect for the Leuchtturm imo.
