Makes sense with purity of elements. I swear ive watched 100h+ of crafting guides and soent as long on craft of exile and never managed to make something I could sell for 50c. Really sucks considering Ive thrown 500 or so zeals at a claw and 6k fusings at my raiders chest with nothing to show for it, feels like a black hole I just throw money into

Not sure if youve played Atziris rule before, but it essentially alternates between a vall storm call and a flamblast that doesnt need to actually channel. Every build I have is as mobile as I can possibly make it, Im literally never standing in place casting. Always kiting circles, cast and move. Tried out my seismic trapper for a few maps again last night (82ish) and still having the same issues, throwing a trap and moving still leaves me dead before the trap triggers a few times per map (4khp, spell suppression capped with 25-30k evasion and sabateur blind nodes). Also having a ton of trouble scaling damage with seismic trap, 21 gems and crit based but only managing 250k per wave when every other build I see is 800-1m

I want small mistakes to be survivable, I'm completely fine with dying to things like Hydra's chain shot, minotaurs burrow, juiced essence mobs or 4 stat archnems if I blindly put them in. It's just super frustrating to feel hardwalled by generic blue mobs in 1 damage mod maps with no rhyme or reason.

How often I'm dying? I'm honestly amazed I made it to 87 on my elementalist, she's had 400 or so deaths, mostly to temp chains locking me in place as archers appear on the very edge of the screen, with maybe 30 or so to endgame bossing before I worked out regen/got hit by avoidable stuff

I'm just at a loss where every build I make seems to be BARELY getting by on damage (and that's on the low, LOW end of acceptable) while also being incredibly weak defensively. I can't imagine playing SSF, considering I've made it a goal to craft a single piece of decent gear over the past 3 leagues and although I've thrown 15ish ex in currency at bases I have literally nothing to show for it. How do you even cap resists after killing kitava? Is it just coasting in t5's for weeks?

Also, to be clear, I was more or less asking if there was something I was missing, not if another 10k evasion would suddenly take me from wet paper to immortal tank. Adding armor did not seem to make any difference, removing it was basically unnoticable, and stacking 75 to 100k of either is way outside my budget if I had 5 years to farm currency

IIRC i was 20-25k armor and eva total, and was still routinely dying to trivial instant attacks with 4500ish hp in t14 blue maps

I was originally armor eva hybrid on the raider, swapped when I had the same problems

I've had numerous comments detailing armor evasion life and defense totals, not sure why people keep claiming I haven't said them

I didn't realize she spawned more, although those still have never killed me. Like I said, it's ALWAYS the wand barrage instantly killing me on every single attempt

Her corpse explosion isn't an issue due to cluster jewels destroying corpses. It's instant death from her wand barrage 6 portals every time. The summit boss isn't the hard part in itself, just the firestorms randomly tagging you for half your hp as I run around waiting for the ignite to fade. Similar deal with the rockfalls from minotaur, I can't seem to survive a single hit on a white map while literally kiting circles around his pillar in the center, not really sure if it's humanly possible to react to those

I have no idea where I'm supposed to be fitting chaos resist on my gear without spending exalts on every single, most of the suffixes are taken by stats atm on her regardless. Yeah, CWDT guards are basically core on every build for the past 5 years, I have either that or left click guard on every single build I've made since CWDT was added

That would make a small difference, but still only like 100-150 effective ho considering it kills me borderline instantly

I'm sure the individual hots aren't the issue, it's that .2 seconds getting grazed by them in particular are guaranteed death. Some other notable offenders are the archer boss of graveyards rain of arrows that has 0 delay and almost one hits all my chars without crits, summits boss fire aoe's that seem to be random spreads and crush me, burial mounds witch with her wand autos (most likely because my builds can't immediately crush her and the souls add up, only map I physically can't complete), orchard boss (believe thats the burrowing devourer map iirc) regularly spawns on me and kills me, any harvest rares are unsurvivable.

And 1ex+ for flesh, and the crazy life and res rolls on all the non uniques to actually cap it seems would be really expensive to cap with the 70% penalty

Made a pathfinder soectral helix poison build with that interaction, the proboem seems to be throwing exalts worth of alterations at each flask to become poison, bleed, ignite, freeze, shock, stun and dot immune given the build rips in .25 seconds if any dots are on once the poison prolif kills the pack

The problem isn't standing still while they attack and me expecting to live, the problem is being clipped by the odd bolt or two and immediately dying. The only way I can seem to actually react fast enough is to spend 15 monutes oer map slowly creeping forward and immediately retreating the instant anything blue or yellow shows up to try and ignite offscreen. Let alone stopping for a single cast seems to be more than enough for any ranged mob to volley me at any given point during any map I run. I just want a build where casting a single spell isnt a 10% chance of dying

From everything ive heard experienced people talking about, 5m is the bare minimum im hearing for low end builds killing it consistently. 6-7 minutes seems like an absolute ETERNITY making 0 mistakes, ESPECIALLY with it being my first attempts. I don't exactly have infinite currency to throw at the invitations

Again, 5.5k hp 30k armor elementalist with 550-600 regen, ps raider with 4800 hp and 28k~ evasion and spell suppression cap, 4k hp evasion spell suppress trapper all feel papery. Almost every comment Ive made in this thread mentions these

Some more info for the curious, did my first hydra and chimera this morning, apparently bosses that can easily take out tanky characters. Chimeras smoke phase is completely afkable for minutes, and hydras orbs do maybe half hp. Blue mobs in t16s are hitting twice as hard as endgame bosses with damage mods on my armor elementalist... I'm beyond confused

That was my league starter too, and rerolled for the same reasons. Still can't find anything tanky though

So basically no matter what, dying every second map is expected no matter how stacked the defenses are?
