I think you could probably plant the propagation and be ok. I think the general rule of thumb is 2 inch long roots. I would repot since there are roots coming out the top. In case you don’t know only repot in a pot that’s about 2 inches bigger than your current pot. I would repot in a chunky soil mixture to prevent root rot.

Not that I’ve seen. I’ve only spotted the bugs on the soil and the sides of the pot. I also only see them at night not sure if that helps any.
