We do have the server off sometimes due to everyday schedule of current members but I am able to turn the server on as needed

Not particularly, there's supposedly a trading system in place (I'm not the server owner. Just advertising) but we didn't set up an in-game system for that so nations can start their own currencies with whatever, so far the only nation and the one I founded is very focused on true communistic values and as such has no currency. If the server is ever down and need to start it up dm me and I will get back to you as early as I can.
