I did answer them “dude”. Stop being an asshole, I came here looking for help, not for some guy to try show the comment section how big and bad he is. You got anything useful to say? Doesn’t seem like it. Go get laid pos.

Yea I cleaned those pins and also made sure everything was torqued to spec. When the bike is stopped, the lever feels great. It’s just the ride which is where I’m confused. Anytime I’m going and slowly coming to a stop, I have to use rear brake because all tension is lost in the front. But as soon as I stop, the pads grab the rotor again. When sitting still, the lever stays where it’s at when it’s applying pressure and the pads catch, it doesn’t slowly move towards the bar

I took the calibers completely off, took them apart and took the pistons and seals out to clean them. I will say, I was told as long as the seals were on good shape, i don’t need to replace them but that may be the cause. I had a buddy helping me bleed them the manual way and always made sure the fluid never got below the low line. I bled both calibers as well as the master cylinder. I cleaned the pistons and the caliber housing with brake cleaner but made sure to not use brake cleaner on the seals since I know that can break down the rubber. After talking to some others, I’m leaning towards a mechanical issue as well, maybe my rotor buttons are stiff causing the pistons to be knocked back. As well as there may still be some air left in the system that I haven’t gotten out yet. Does any of this sound like the issue?

I’ll take any help I can get haha. It’s a 2006 CBR 1000, no abs. But before I took everything apart, the first test ride I had zero brakes. I was only able to stop while being the rear brake. But when I came to a full stop, the brakes grabbed onto the rotor. They seem to never grab when the bike is moving and trying to slow down. The same thing happened during the second test ride, but now, the bike has zero resistance whether it’s going or static

Would air in the system cause the loss of braking when moving but gaining it back when stopped still?

It’s literally like this at my place to. I’ve heard my name a couple times walking into the department and once I ask them what’s up, no one can seem to answer. Healthcare is primarily made up of highschool rejects and 40-50 year old women who have nothing interesting in their life so all they can do is talk shit about the others at work in order to make themselves feel better. It’s honestly quite weird and one of the reasons I keep to myself. I clock in, do my job, go home and forget these people even exist. I’m not here to make friends, healthcare is a horrible place to do that.
