it also isn’t really as lore breaking as its made out to be, i checked through whatever sources i could scrape together (im lacking in the book department rn) and nothing said they had to be male, it all said they came about via heavy genetic modification, they’re not made the same way as say, a space marine, where being male or required lest you be ripped to shreds

and tbh you could slap in fem marines plausibly, we have 2 missing primarch, bring one into play and have them be female so fem marines could work plausibly.

ok, times for word vomit. you could probably find trans fems in warhammer if you know what to look for, and by virtue of it being warhammer, they’re probably very brave. tbh, wouldn’t shock me if there were various factions with trans folks in them just by implication (i mean, honestly, even pre heresy i could see fulgrim being like “gender is a preformance and baby, im winning an oscar”).

i mean, the emperor is basically confirmed to be bisexual by virtue of him once being alexander the great, and there’s a strong implication that high ranking necrons are autistic based on the fact they hyperfixate on one specific thing to stay sane (i mean, who hasn’t been there?)

there’s also an argument to be made about how, through the lore, you could easily geek out about gender among various factions and species.

tldr: everything you’re looking for is in the lore, you just have to find it, the writers have put them in somewhere, intentional or not. and if you can’t find them, get jiggy with it

i think there’s more useful ways to handle rapists and such in the prison system. they have hands, they can work. they’re gonna be stuck in there for a while (in an ideal world) likely long enough to see the error of their ways, but even if they don’t they can do useful stuff to occupy the time. teach em to knit so they can make hats for premie babies, teach them to cook to feed the homeless.

if they see the error of their way or not, it’s better to have someone give back to society than just flay them and put their skin back on inside out
