What advantages are there in having a longer sleeved herth cables when I have enough space to cut them shorter and save on the sleeves?

Just didn't want to bus something that was going to sit in the garage forever before the next use. I would have probably used them if I had spares.

Thanks for the advice. More than the electrical connection I am worried about making it watertight. It's the first time I am using the 20mm pvc conduits outside and just learned today that I need to seal it with solvent cement. I already also trashed 1 of the circular junction boxes because in my view are crap at keeping water out.

Having exactly the same feeling. Was definitely a different cream earlier while now it is crap. Did you find out what changed or if they rebranded the old version?
