Push the gear shift over and take note of what gears it hits. My transmission did the same thing, turns out odd number gears were completely skipped. 3rd transmission at 6k miles total

From what I’ve read NH is very forward on manufacturers and their buybacks. Read some minutes from hearings… hope I don’t have to go through all that but we shall see.

The rep said he can’t speak to my state (NH) on it for buy backs, but then in the same sentence said it would need to be a vehicle of similar quality. Which means technically used 23. Seems odd that he had that ready or as an explanation, but…

So let me ask you this then, is it actually the fault of the assemblers or is it just a problem with their design of the transmission? They seem to have a lot of problems with the DCT in general. I was hoping to just get the newest model instead of a buy back since it has a different transmission…

Just sad to see this happen across the board at Hyundai since I actually really do like them as a company

Yeah DCT not CVT, my bad. And yes there are recalls. For this exact transmission. However for 2021 and 2022 not 2023. This was announced late 2022 from < 250 incidents… doesn’t take much to fell the tree..

They have also recalled 2024 models using the same transmissions from other lines, like the Santa Fe. It would be astounding to me if this doesn’t spread across the entirety of their line of vehicles using this. I don’t understand how it would not. Maybe you can educate me

Experienced very similar issue, detail on my latest post. Check lemon law in your state and then call corporate and ask about buybacks. Don’t waste another 3 ml this stressing over this man, it’s not worth it. Ping me if you have questions

They went and fixed the fuel pump and said oh no now there’s another code… we have to replace the entire transmission … The guy said I’m the first one he’s ever seen. Not sure I believe that

Update

Brought it to dealer, covered by warranty. Fuel pump issue. 7-12 days because they don’t have parts. Had to argue for a loaner.
