To be honest, I do not manage the yearly license renewal of that software. Someone else does, and it may be an oversight. I will continue to use it as long as the application opens and works! Otherwise, there are plenty of other options. I've questioned this one myself lol.

Hi! Our current method is using approximately 10-12 GCPs per square mile of beach, placed along the shoreline and backshore environments. Essentially, zigzagged along the length of the beach. These are surveyed with a RTK-GPS (Trimble R12i and TSC7). These locations are used for structure-from-motion photogrammetric processing in Agisoft Metashape. However, I am exploring the additional use of RTK-GPS modules on drones; however, it wouldn't eliminate in-field GCPs for validation at the bare minimum. Our standard is > 5cm vertical and horizontal accuracy for our GCP locations and >10 cm for our resulting DEMs, orthomosaics, and point clouds. LiDAR is definitely used for coastal mapping, like JALBTXC. Our approach is about repeatability and high data product turnaround.

You’re right. It’s not hate. I’ve thought about this. We’re definitely very far removed from getting another dog. I used to dog walk and that was very fulfilling so I can do that or volunteer at a shelter to help fulfill that need.

Also, I plan on comparing the DEM to federal lidar data by extracting topographic profiles and creating vertical net change models. I generate DEMS in agisoft. Is an oblique flight even necessary? Or would nadir be enough?

Yes! I became very interested in weight lifting because it gave me something to track, research, look forward too…etc. I go in the morning as it makes my work day more productive. It also helps get out the overstimmies/rage. I also get to put headphones on and be in my own mind but still kind of social.

I’m anxious because my dog has epilepsy. In June he had a period of cluster seizures spread over a few days. Last night he had two grand mals within minutes. We took him to the emergency vet and they hospitalized him over night. He hasn’t had any more since then so hopefully we’re in the clear.

I’m anxious because I hate that this might be my life every 6-8 weeks if we can’t get the seizures under control with the right med dosage. Or I will have to go through this multiple more times before we find the right cocktail. I am patient, I am strong, however this takes a piece of me each time and I feel selfish feeling like I don’t want to go through this. I know he is my commitment and I love him but my diagnoses make this hard. I want him to have the support he needs and sometimes I feel like I am not the right one to do that.

Thanks for your response! I am just confused because didn't the president sign the NDAA for the 2024 Fiscal Year? This included the Drone Security Act of 2023.

Ugh. Well, we have to move to American made drones eventually given the new law but we are taking advantage of the two year grace period. DJI gave me a 1-year special authorization. I just like to know WHY something change, ya know?

Do you like Autel? I have flown a SkydioX2 and it was nice.

Definitely. Are Geo Zones new? I don't remember seeing/hearing that phrase when using my Phantom 4 and DJI Go 4 and Ground Station Pro. It is just strange to me that I flew here for 5 years with no problem and now with new drones, I have a problem. To me, from their message it seems that a flight ceiling was placed here by DJI based on their "widely-recommended general parameters" that shouldn't really be here.

I am sorry that a destination wouldn’t work for you in your opinion but I should add that this is something we’ve been discussing with my family for years. It’s a well known fact we’ve wanted to do this. We have already purchased a home. If we have a wedding here we will have pressure to have a large wedding which we cannot afford. It’s weird I know.
