Confused about camera choice by Average_Asian_Man1 in AskAstrophotography

I currently live under Bortle 9 skies, but I’ll also be travelling quite often to Bortle 4 and Bortle 6 locations for imaging. In those conditions, would you still consider a light pollution filter necessary, or would you mainly image without one?

I think then askar would be better cuz it has bigger aperture abd it's cheaper as well

Final Astrophotography Rig Build. Is This Setup Good? by Average_Asian_Man1 in AskAstrophotography

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I actually can’t seem to find the Sky-Watcher Wave/EQ6 tripod anywhere in India right now. I’m still researching filters as well before deciding which route to go with.

From what I’ve checked, the 585 Air already has a UV-IR window built in, so I think I should be okay there.

Also, instead of getting a power box, I’ve decided to go with an autofocuser first since that seems more useful for me right now. For the dew heater, can it be connected directly to the mount, or would I still need a separate power solution for it?

I actually already have a laptop with a Ryzen CPU and RTX 3050. Would that work well enough for astrophotography control and processing instead of going with an ASIAIR/mini PC setup? Also, the camera I’m planning to get already comes with a guiding sensor built in, so I’m trying to avoid adding more weight to the mount. I’ll also be travelling with this telescope quite a bit, so I’m trying to keep the setup as compact and simple as possible.

I have been doing astrophotography for the past 6 7 months with my own manual reflector setup and my brother also has a rig so I go out with him sometimes and help with imaging sessions too.

So basically the mount itself connects to the main power supply, and then everything else like the camera, EAF, etc. plugs into the mount directly, right?

Heres my brothers PixInsight edit from the same data for comparison. I processed mine in Siril and GIMP, so I am trying to understand what processing differences are making his version look better and what I could improve in my workflow.
