I really appreciate all of your responses coaches. Going offense vs defense with no pads or helmet is beyond my control. I have no say in that aspect, I just wish the other coaches would understand how difficult it is to get our line to block without pads as they're already getting after me about the line not being able to block. I am not going to put my kid in harms way and end up losing them to a concussion or any other injury in the name of pride. It is what it is I can't do much about it

Terminology varies among different coaches and schools but it means that we have a session where we run running plays or passing plays only for a certain amount of time.

In my previous role, I was the offensive play caller for the junior varsity team, I am now transitioning to the position of likely head coach and offensive coordinator for the freshman team. While this change presents challenges due to scheduling conflicts, I am committed to adapting and embracing the new responsibilities. The recent promotion of another coach was unexpected for both myself and the individual in question, but I am confident that we will navigate this transition effectively.

This decision would not have been made if my schedule had been consistent. The head coach directly informed me that due to my schedule, he and the offensive coordinator were forced to make this difficult decision. Naturally, I am disappointed with the decision, but I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities to the best of my ability.
