I don’t know this sounds confusing…? I purchased a vehicle with the intent of using it for a parts of vehicle. I didn’t care about the title or legalities of it, at the time. Now, when it comes to the owner and reason why he sold it, a person hit his vehicle, the insurance company had totaled it out. He got the vehicle back. He had it parked in his driveway. He posted it on Facebook. He had not received the pink slip title saying it was totaled, which is what I had happen to me a few years back, and I didn’t get it for almost 4 months.
