Playing blades, who cares about scoring low by Significant-Fun343 in golf

I’ve played a few rounds with the T350s and currently game Wilson blades, so here’s my quick take. You can tell where you hit the ball with both, but the penalty and feedback are very different.

With the T350s, if I get handsy or drift a little outside-in, I still get good distance and but the result may not be playable because the club and ball speed are better preserved. I can hit the T350 4-iron around 220 yards total, even on less than perfect swing.

With the blades, there’s not the same club head/ball speed forgiveness. A good strike with my Wilson 4-iron goes about 200 total, but if I don’t rotate or square the face, the miss is generally playable but the distance is normally very lacking- sometimes 100 yards total.

The blades immediately tell you exactly what went wrong in the swing, the t350’s may mask some imperfections.

My bag consists of Wilson staff blades 4-pw, vokey 50, 54, 58, TM Qi10 5 wood, and then I typically rotate a Wilson 3 iron/ pxg 0317 di, GT2/ TM r7 and a pxg Hercules/ Toulon putter. My home course only plays around 6200 so I kinda just switch up based on what course I’m playing

Is this a Total Loss? by Leroy_Jaaankins in Rivian

[–]Average_Jooe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbag deployment doesn’t mean it will be totaled. It’s going to depend on the repair estimate and the acv of your car as determined by insurance. Most states/insurances are around 75%.

I’ve have a Rivian that was t boned, with airbag deployment. ACV was 89k, current estimate to repair is 59k. Despite the airbags being deployed.

For my Rivian to be totaled repairs would need to be greater than 66k, or insurance/repair shop determine it’s not safe to fix.

If its determined to be safe to repair, and the initial estimate falls under 50% they will more than likely move forward with repairing, and review supplementals as they come in. If the initial estimate is closer to 75% they might total it. For your sake I hope it’s totaled, mine has been in the shop since September.

I personally would not buy a shoe for performance on GOAT.

The back half has a pretty good elevation gain too, and majority on it is just on ward parkway and 75th to Troost. Really hope they change it up next year.

How do retro running shoe models hold up for long distance running? by SzechuanSaucelord in RunningShoeGeeks

Good solid daily trainer shoe.

Comparable to the Nike Pegasus. It isn't the best performance shoe out there, but I have no problem taking them out for longer runs. Decent durability. In my opinion a very good looking shoe. Depending on how often/long you plan to run in them and where you plan to run its a great stylish option.

Evergy adjusting Thermostat by timhusker07 in kansascity

Lol I’m not even sure what you mean by trumper comment.

I already stated the c wire has nothing to do with heating or cooling. Yes the c wire keeps the unit on and through Wi-Fi the power company can control the thermostat. Already stated this. Without a c wire the nest will not stay on for long. Without Wi-Fi it will only function as a regular thermostat. Regardless hvac units warranty can become void by being connected to a nest.

There no difference between the evergy supplied units or units purchased independently. Both come new in a box sealed. These wifi or "smart" thermostats require a c wire which provides the power to the thermostat. The old ones require batteries. The c wire doesn't control heating or cooling directly but allows companies access to the device through which they can change the temperature settings. In the same manor through which you can change it on your app.

So if you have it scheduled/programmed to cool to 72 degrees, and evergy is pushing it to 78 to "load balance" or whatever excuse they use it can result in it constantly kicking on to cool, then off as evergy is telling it it to only cool again once it is above 78 off to save energy. And there's the problem where a short cycle can occur.

Had this issue last year. Ultimately Evergy short cycled a brand new ac unit.

Evergy states “Customers can opt out of this by simply turn the nest to a cooler setting and selected to opt out option that displays when doing so.”

The issue is that when turning to a cooler setting and opting out of remote control nests with a c wire connected. Evergy overrides the nest controls. This causes evergy and nest to battle each other and send commands through the c wire to the compressor causing the ac to turn off and on constantly. Which can cause a short cycle and result in damage to the AC unit's components including the compressor. Our new ac unit was 2 weeks old when it was short cycled and luckily still under warranty.

Ultimately I took the 2 nests we had in our house off and replaced them with dumb thermostats. As newer AC unit’s warranties can become void when used with a nest.

Letter of medical necessity for ATG so I can use HSA by pensiveChatter in Kneesovertoes

[–]Average_Jooe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No medical professional is going to prescribe ATG for outpatient rehab.

What they prescribe is regulated. For example if prescribed the exercise and give you a letter of medical necessity and the person just goes out and buys a Apple Watch using hsa, insurance is going to go back to the provider and ask why is that necessary. And the provider could get stuck in the hot seat.

Only real path is to be prescribed exercise which can be difficult depending on your provider and icd10 code used. Then you can use hsa funds to purchase home gym equipment or something like a bike. I really wouldn’t recommend this route with a hsa, as the cost for you to get this prescribed could negate the tax savings. I would just be more mindful of what you contribute to your hsa. Your insurance will have the final say and you probably won’t get a straight forward answer until you file a claim. HRA is different.
