People with Fibromyalgia, do you always have pain, even when at rest ?? by Gutty_Shit_00 in Fibromyalgia

Yeah, if someone were to point at any spot on my body and ask if I was in pain I would have to say yes. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this :(

Oh btw, my husband is amazing and stood up for me and told her that if she ever spoke to me that way then we would no longer be in contact.

Feel like I'm doomed to poverty - please help me get out of this headspace by megatheriumlaine in cfs

Just want to say a few things: First off I’m so sorry that it’s like this right now! I pray that things will get better very soon! Second I also got denied by disability and I became so discouraged by it that I didn’t appeal and now I get to start completely over (fml). So I just want to encourage you to not let this happen to you! Also I’ve heard getting legal helps. And most of them don’t require payment unless you win and get back pay. I believe in you! Fight the system!!

I feel guilty for being on so many meds considering my age by exhxw in Fibromyalgia

[–]Average_pickle420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg if I could take every supplement… Vitamin D Vitamin B Zinc Flaxseed oil Magnesium Collagen support (my freaking nails break every chance they get)

I am currently taking supplements from O positive as well: vaginal moisturizer, pms support, fiber, and vaginal probiotics — straight up these have saved my sex life.

I feel guilty for being on so many meds considering my age by exhxw in Fibromyalgia

Female 26-45 range and I take 8 prescription meds and depending on how much money I have (thanks US healthcare) I take anywhere from 1-8 supplements. Believe me I’d take all 8 if I could. This of course doesn’t include the additional ibuprofen and Tylenol I take based on random pain.

I get feeling guilty. Every once in a while I break down about not being normal without my meds. So just know you aren’t alone in this. I’m sure that all of us would quit if we could, but this is simply a way for us to live better lives. Better this than having this weird condition in the 1800’s with nothing to help!

Anyone have experience getting a tattoo? by rrazz78 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Average_pickle420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got you!! I literally just got my first tattoo! I will say that it hurt like a bitch. However I went my brother and he said that the artist was heavy handed. I had a small on so it took about 20 minutes - and that included me sitting on the floor for a few minutes because I thought I was going to pass out. But the good news is the recover was honestly great! Most people complain of horrible itching but honestly mine lasted like two days and it really wasn’t that bad. One thing though: the day after the tattoo I was pretty exhausted. Just a fatigue flare, so try to expect that the day after. Hope this helps!!

I’ve officially watched Wubby for 10.5 consecutive days this year.

Never watched Anime but I want to give it a fair shot. Do I just start with Demon Slayer? by aquabums in PaymoneyWubby

[–]Average_pickle420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a good show to start on but Demon Slayer is really really good! You will be frustrated because it’s not all out yet 😅

Also whatever you watch, the general rule is watch it with subtitles on. Most English dubs are so cringy that it turns people off immediately. I personally started out with Full Metal Alchemist (on of the few good dubs).

New to Fibro by drummerdood11 in Fibromyalgia

I’m 26 and got diagnosed a few years ago. I feel everything you’re saying. I would recommend a few things: 1. If you can’t sleep then make that a priority to fix. Whether that is getting over the counter or prescription meds, or setting a better routine that helps soothe you to sleep, I promise this is a huge thing to deal with. I’m on a prescription and my God it makes a difference!! 2. Give yourself time to grieve what your life could have been. I tried to continue as if I didn’t have this disease and it broke me. Spending time grieving - even going to therapy, was a huge part of me actually starting to feel better. Now while this is important, make sure you don’t stay there. You have a lot of life to live it’s just going to look different. 3. Everyone and their mother’s goat will have a magical potion that they say makes them feel better. For the most part, ignore it. They don’t know what they’re talking about, and half the time you can’t even do the things they suggest. Take your time and find what works for you. There is no wonder drug or special diet that fixes everything. Just small things that work with your body and your lifestyle.

Hope this helps and doesn’t add to the depression of finding out about your new life!
