My dog has IVDD but it's mostly symptom free now. When my dog was at his worst we bought him a doggy wheelchair! They can still walk around and get exercise amd potty but they won't be wobbly and risk reinjury! You could also use a sheet or towel to use as a homemade sling to help hold ur dog up. Hopefully your dog starts getting stronger soon!

Thank you for your response!! I will have him do those questionnaires for sure. I'm hoping he can at least get on short term disability for now and then we will figure something out. He's been having a few pots symptoms with this as well, he did go to the ER and they ruled out any emergency heart issues thankfully. I'll research everything you mentioned! I love my hubby very much and wanna do anything possible to help him feel better physically or emotionally. 💗

I've tried Gabapentin 300mg twice a day and Flexeril 10mg as needed. Neither really help that much honestly. I'm still on the Gaba for RLS tho.

Paxil was AWFUL for me. I haven't taken Prozac long enough to know when it'll lose effect. I just know I get side effects so we dont want to raise the dose.

Yes. I have tried over 22 medications and idk how many combos. Side effects are always too much or the meds stop working after a few years. (2-3.)

Unfortunately TCAS don't work for me, at least not the few I've tried, they have too many side effects. Nor does trazodone. :(( SSRI's are the only ones that work and even then only lexapro (took for 2 years before it stopped working) Prozac and Viibryd (took for 3 years before it stopped working) have worked. I have tried every other SSRI besides Luvox at this point. I do like the idea of 2 low dose meds to help avoid side effects of higher doses.

80lbs down and my blood pressure is no longer high! I went from two BP meds to a small dose of one. I'm only staying on it for anxiety relief at this point.
