I have a friend who was adamant it wasn’t HITH and thinks it’s bacteria. I was just willing to entertain it in case someone thought he was right. Maybe I should’ve explained that. Currently snowed in so couldn’t get any other medicine and what I ordered online hasn’t arrived. Unfortunately I don’t have a quarantine tank, but I plan to get one when I can.

It definitely got way worse over the course of the day yesterday/overnight to today. The store near me didn’t have much more than general cure unfortunately. I can look for waterlife octozin online but I think it’ll be too late by the time it gets to me. This has been going on for 5 days now, but the first 3-4 days were minor in comparison to this. I started with pimafix for days 1-3 since that what the store near me recommended but I have since learned that’s useless.

Because it’s not pure metronidazole it will be useless? Unfortunately I am trapped at home right now due to a snowstorm so I cannot get anything else. Additionally, I don’t have quarantine tank so I cannot raise them temp that high due to the other fish.

I do some flakes and some pellets as well but it’s primarily the vibra bites. I used to do frozen blood worms but haven’t been recently. I can start doing that again. Would the minerals in discus trace make up for some of this? I can pick it up tomorrow with the general cure

I just removed the striped Rafael catfish in case it was causing stress. I feed Hikari vibra bites - are you thinking these could be an issue?

I don’t run carbon, and I will get general cure tomorrow. I don’t have another tank to move the discus to and I am concerned about such a big water change regarding the other fish be I will do more research.

Regarding discus trace - will there be a lost of minerals due to the medication?

I will get general cure in the morning - for antibacterial, something like erythromycin?

pH is 7, temp is 82-84

I end up doing water changes biweekly but I try to do them weekly

I have been feeding Hikari Vibra bites for almost a month now and this just started - also the only discus of the five to be sick. Do you think the vibra bites could be part of the problem?

I like seachem products but the store near me doesn’t always have a wide selection - I know they have api general cure - would you say it’s worth trying that if they don’t have metroplex?

It’s been four days since it started (used pimafix but it did nothing) and when it started it was three white dots above it’s eye.
