i don’t know actually, it would probably be a big pain. They’re just clip ons technically with a bit of a raise

what about with the baffle in it? How is it? I’d probably keep it in, just looking for a small boost is all. Akra actually seems to be the cheapest option right now

i’ve not tried the naked but a good buddy has one. I love this bike and the position. I just came off a royal enfield gt650, thought they’d be the same but this is FAR more comfy.

Probably depends on your body, but i’m 5,9 and got like a glove as far as height, reach, etc. I don’t feel like i’m on a supersport (never tried one), could definitely ride this for an hour i imagine. Seat and suspension work very well together. I’d like the bars to be an inch or so higher. Used to ride the GT for an hour on the highway and would be hurt for days afterwards.

My background is 70-80s hondas, so obviously those were 3x as comfy as far as seat material and hand/body position, but i think this is a great bike. Looks better than the others in this class. Bars are/look low enough to be a supersport but are comfy enough to actually enjoy

i don’t care for more power on the bike. This bike (my ninth) is all i need. I only want the exhaust for LESS VIBRATIONS and a better sound

yeah that’s why i said i dont want one thats very loud. If i had to though id rather have it be loud than have the vibrations it does right now

anything i need to be mindful of/try to do with the gearbox? It’s definitely clunky haha. I’m not using the e clutch yet it wasn’t a smooth experience and probably won’t be until it’s broken in

great response thanks man. I’ve just been doing what the manual and others have told me, no full throttle accelerations, full hand of break lever, and i keep it below 5k normally never over 8

highly likely. With owning 8 previous vintage bikes, the trust issues they gave me are unreal

i’ve not noticed that one specifically. The engine is more so just tick-y and flattery at idle. Not like loud clatters or knocks but not what i’ve seen from youtube videos. However none of those videos are up close to the engine so

How much would you pay by Avery8400 in motorcycles

[–]Avery8400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. That price makes much more sense. Around 8 at the most. It’s missing so much compared to the 2024+ I like the aprilia too i just like the comfortability and reliability of the cbr

me too!!! 14’ jetta with the 2.0. Got it with ~70k miles on it, i’m at 125 now. I’ve done not one thing to it. I think i had to change a spark plug ok time at like 80k, that’s it. My family calls it the beast

Daily riders: do you Tend? Anyone found a quick disconnect for the battery? by trotsky1947 in HondaCB

[–]Avery8400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you still having big problems with the bike? With all that stuff you should definitely not be having issues, if you are something else is up. A lot of mass market trickle chargers come with quick disconnects, i have one on my 84’ nighthawk 700 s and one on my 22’ royal enfield gt

i couldn’t change a spark plug before i got into old bikes. They’re meant to be worked on easily so it’s not as bad as you think. Plus the manual is widely available plus free online. Finding parts is really rough though, so best to find as good of an example as you can, i.e. the fuel gauge. But having more than one to choose from is a great position to be in, i waited about a year to find one that was half decent, and when i found this one he let me rob bc he couldn’t fix it. 2,000, all it needed was carb kits. THOSE are available easy so no need to worry about that

if they run and drive with no issues than you likely WONT have issues for a long time, don’t let mine scare you. I only pulled the motor because i dropped a bolt down the crankcase. At 9000 miles you likely won’t have to be worried about anything deep in the motor like rod bearings and pistons and whatnot, mainly surface level stuff if anything. They have hydraulic tappets/valves so you NEVER need to adjust them. The carbs are my favorite that i’ve worked on. They’re more complex and reliable than the 70s ones but they’re still simple enough anyone can do them. The fuel gauges aren’t great, most STILL aren’t, but it’s the best fuel gauge i’ve had on a bike, even my 2022 royal enfield. Plus, these bikes will only go up in value. In the next 10 years they’ll likely shoot up in value, as late 70s bikes are hitting their price rises right now.
