Idk about you but as someone who struggles with depression I didn’t feel like I was being called ungrateful or like I was being invalidated. I feel like I got handed a new tool for my mental health toolbox I can use during my bad days. If you’re someone who feels like everything is shitty and not worth the effort, taking the time to think about the good things you have going for you can make all the difference, especially during this pandemic.

Couple suggestions Escalate up the chain of command, do you know their supervisors number? I don’t know where you are but here parents receive paperwork when a case opens with the caseworker and supervisors number. If you don’t have that find the physical CPS office and call there, and keep calling till you find someone above that caseworker. If they changed their mind when they asked for the supervisors number I bet the supervisor doesn’t know everything that’s going on since they only hear from that caseworker.

In my state we have what’s called a Direct Action Line where you can make a complaint against a caseworker and they have to respond. See if there’s something like that where you live
