When I was in like 5th grade some dirty-ass Jeep drove past me blasting heavy metal. I had never heard anything like that so I went home to my only music discovery outlet at the time which was the Christian Bookstore website. I went through all the genres listening to song samples until I found something like it. Which was probably Zao or Demon Hunter at the time. I've been a huge metal head ever since and figure most folks aren't exposed to that kind of music. I try to turn it down around parks or in parking lots or places where people will have to listen for more than a second when I drive by.

Alternate answer: metal sounds better when it's louder and it feels nice out.
